Without pruning also its looking marvelous, just like fountain.Without pruning , its just looking like fountain..The most important thing is that first you naturally absorb any tree minutely, then you try to give the desired shape to your tree. you have lots of patience, that i observed in all your videos... learning day by day frm your vdos.. your techniques r absolutely helping me 🤗 for my future ficus bonsai.🥰

@@punyasheavenonearth8170 Thank you. Nea is one of beautiful species. In bonsai we always look for trees with smaller leaves to get that good visual appeal. The most important thing is to observe the tree and create a visual picture of what you would like your tree to look like in future based on what the tree is offering now and what else you would like to work on for future design. If we are able to get to that stage then we can design any tree. Very glad to know that my videos are adding value and you are learning from these. 🙏🙏🙏

After Pruning do you spray with fungicide

@@anilkumarn6091 yes I have started doing this. Spray mild fungicide post pruning. It certainly helps.

All these trees have been collected by me from nurseries and friends as saplings or cuttings or seeds and turned into Trees over the years. I do not buy any ready made trees. There are many online platforms where they sell the trees you can buy from them

Sir, buxus in general are very slow growing…
Their trunk don’t thicken up that fast…
So the first step is to let the tree grow wildly like other trees…
Mine has grown near about thumb size trunk…
I don’t want to make it a small shohin bonsai…
I want it to be a medium size bonsai like yours…
Want to know whether I can remove multiple unwanted branches that are growing 2-3 inches above soil level from the same stop
Or should I wait another year or two….
By the way it is growing in 8 inch nursery pot…
Should I repot it in 20 inch grow back…
Or can I start to style the tree…

@@gauravgowardhan7072 hi Gaurav, are you referring to buxus as in box wood?. This one is not box wood. This is Nea buxifolia which is different. Regarding boxwood i have had very less luck. It does not survive in my weather no matter how much I take care of the tree. So I have stopped growing them. If you are referring to Nea Buxifolia then yes you can do some basic shaping of the tree like removing any parallel and unwanted branches etc before placing the tree in big pot and allowing it to grow and thicken up. Also you can leave branches that are from base of trunk if your intention is to thicken the trunk at base of tree. You can remove them once you are satisfied. Hope this helps.
