Great video. Really nice job and big sheepshead. Definitely on my bucket list to catch. Looking fwd to watching more of your videos. I subscribed!! Keep them coming !
Man I just moved down here to Jacksonville and have a canoe, been really wanting to get on these sheeps down here! Great video, keep it up man. Thank you!
Another great video. Sheepshead is one of my favorite fish to seek here in south Louisiana inshore waters. Your observations are presented well and match mine very closely! I would be interested in details like hook sized, etc., used in your rigs to see how it compares to what I've found. I've found hook size and shape very important to success in setting the hook. I've been using Gamakatsu 2/0 and 3/0 offset hooks (not the circle type) very successfully! Typically, I use a drop shot rig with a 1/2 ounce weight below the hook.
Man I’ve hit 2 different jetties and haven’t run across them yet. I am trying to hit multiple places to scope it out for the big day. The 12th is going to be awesome 🎣
It’s perfectly fine because I’ve personally spoken to an FWC officer. As far as scraping it off of someone’s docks, thats a different story. We had permission from the owners to tie off and fish
In FL, it’s legal to scrape barnacles, but not undersized oysters. Not that you can be 100% sure there are no baby oysters among your barnacles or that FWC is likely to check. And technically touching a private dock is trespassing. So legal, but with caveats.
