I wanted to point out that the airport of Fiumicino (Rome) was awarded by ACI World as the best airport in Europe with the Airport Service Quality Award and that Alitalia was awarded as the best punctual company in the world (Flightstats) ps thx for the video Sam.
😂😂😂 you gotta be kidding.. I’m Italian and refuse to make my connection fights in Roma or Milano. Whenever I fly from the USA to go see my family in Italy, I prefer flying to Germany and then on to my destination. Reason? It’s sad to say but airports in Italy are a completely different experience, form delays, to customer service is close to none existent. Even the customs police is ridiculous, once they try to mess with my wife!!! I don’t put up with that kind of nonsense. Italy is indeed one of the most beautiful places in the world but Italians need to take lessons form other countries & cultures on how to be professional and business like! Love my land tho. 🇮🇹

John Carey not true, I’ve used to fly with Alitalia many times and they were all so kind and happy. It’s not Ryanair man. Alitalia serves good food and has a pleasant service. Maybe you were unlucky, but don’t talk shit about them!

Endless Dreamer I’ve flown them 4 times now across the Atlantic (most recent summer of 2019), not saying that they are rude, but they seem forced to be there, they serve the food and disappear. I’ve flown on Austrian Airlines many time, way better service. To Alitalia’s respect they are always on time, and it’s not a bad airline but I think they can do much better.
Alitalia Magnifica is SUPERB !!!!, excellent seat, FIRST CLASS catering service (no carts on the aisle, no trays, cocktails) and stylish crew !!!. Top, Top !!!!

Let’s loosen up a little, take the walls down and just enjoy the journey instead of being so judgmental as soon as we see something a little “socially unusual”. Oh, finally you discovered the real best food on air! :) I use to fly on Alitalia Magnifica with 777 from Rome or A330 from Milan. Lounges in Italy are the best for hospitality and food. Alitalia needs to update IFE system on the whole fleet, but comfort on board (and food) are great!

Bravo Sam! Always follow you and happy to see review on Alitalia! But, as an Italian, I feel sad because our national airline should be in a much better shape, considering our potential. But the reality is different; for example I am based in Bangkok and nowadays Alitalia is out of the market in Asia, except Japan and India.... what a pity! 😢

As an italian I must say italians are ashamed of Alitalia. An almost failed company with poor service and few nice people on board usually (it seems you were lucky). From the video everything seems perfect but you can see I am right from a small detail (you don't notice if you are not probably): how can you serve as a prime option tomato pasta in first class? Making it special by just writing with san marzano tomatoes. This is an epic fail, and they do so to cut costs in a class where people pay a lot. Love your videos Sam, happy you had a great time on a non great company

Fiumicino airport for me getted the worse experience from Alitalia ground staff members..
T3 is amazing, it’s like a high end mall. I was there in July 2018 and it has very expensive stores like Gucci.

Ho visto per caso ieri le rotte che Alitalia effettuava nel 1985... Roma - Hong Kong - Singapore - Melbourne - Sydney usando un B747. Mi viene da piangere vederla in questo stato.

Air italy è messa peggio di Alitalia! Comunque basterebbe davvero poco per salvare Alitalia, già solamente eliminando la politica dentro l'azienda la si farebbe volare meglio

As an italian I must say italians are ashamed of Alitalia. An almost failed company with poor service and few nice people on board usually (it seems you were lucky). From the video everything seems perfect but you can see I am right from a small detail (you don't notice if you are not probably): how can you serve as a prime option tomato pasta in first class? Making it special by just writing with san marzano tomatoes. This is an epic fail, and they do so to cut costs in a class where people pay a lot. Love your videos Sam, happy you had a great time on a non great company
