  • Few states hold as much importance in the presidential election as Michigan, which has swung between the parties and holds 15 electoral votes. In the hotly contested state, young voters are likely to play an outsized role in 2024. Scott MacFarlane has more.

I appreciate these kids’ response, but they need to understand that presidents are not supposed to be “exciting” like their favorite celebrity. We need a sane person to be a crucial leader. Also, presidents make promises, but it’s the legislative branch that ultimately fulfills those promises. We need to focus on the legislative branch if we actually want stuff to get done!

Hopefully they learn sooner rather than later the options this time/again it's pretty clear what direction the country will go in depending which candidate they choose. And going forward, they need to remember to vote in every election -- local and national, and every opportunity, not just the Presidential election.

So here's my thought. It's a question, why are law makers, creating legislation/laws for older people? Most us will be gone in a bunch of years leaving a law in place which is longer relevant. Create legislation/laws that looks to the future. For those who are taking our place.

Use this next 4 year period to organize and prepare to elect people motivated to fix the system-it IS broke. The old duffs have got to go. Not going to work and he won't close the borders -- it is another empty promise and even if he did it won't work and everyone knows it.

Your vote is definitely your own to spend -- but these third party folks never get us anywhere either. I agree the two choices are crap but one of them will end up in the WH - RFK Jr will not.

These young people are thinking. I hope they realize that any choice they make, they will have to live with. I'm an old progressive Bernie bro, but I have faith that the young will be true to themselves and their future.🥸🇺🇸

The guys at the table are thinking with their brains while the girls at the table are all up in their feel-feels. Typical.

Sorry, but the one guy at the table is talking about solving the world's problems all at that one table with just those guys. Not realistic and coming from a pretty idealistic mindset -- which is typical of this age group.
