I absolutely love your teaching style! I learned more about SFT from your video than I did in all of social work grad school. Thank you!!! Definitely subscribing! 👏👏👏

Wow!!! I just found your channel and I am so excited to have found you. Great material and teaching style. Just in time to brush up therapy modalities during the quarantine. I’m a new fan and will subscribe right now.

I love your material. It's really good. Watching you, I've come to understand that most problems can be solved with this approach.
If, you get an opportunity to read this, I have two questions:
    1. Are there any times in which a person or couple feel like they've come to a solution but may have prematurely ended their counseling?
    2. Because SFBT is a part of a therapy approach can any of these tools be used in Non-Clinical practices, ? i.e. Lay Counselors, Pastoral Counselors or Coaching? Your passion about it is catchy and I believe it's a POWERFUL approach.

I'm glad you like my videos! Let me answer your questions; 1. No, I have never had that happen. 2. Yes, a lot people use this approach outside of the therapy field.

Hello Elliott. Thank you very much for your great job and open heart. Could you please answer this question: "If the first session is running out of time and we're still in the "Resource Talk" phase, should I quickly ask a Preferred future question and write the description "What else?" or to give feedback on the current session and the next session to begin from the date of the resource? ". Thank you very much, regards Tatiana.

Hi Elliot, thank you sooooo much for making SBFT easy to understand and therefore easy to work with. My question is I'm seeing a couple who are finding it very difficult to move from the pain, resentment, hurt and betrayal. They are caught up in this current state. They still are of the opinion that the marriage can be saved. How do I get them especially the wife to see/find some sense of hope? I'M STUCK...HEEEEELP!

Hi Reson! Thank you for your comment! I actually just uploaded a video yesterday answering your question because I thought it was important for people to see. I hope you can check it out.
      Best regards,
      Elliott

in relation to ending the sessions: i work for the prison service for the NHS in England. There are some clients i see who are quite dependent or may have other reasons for wanting the sessions to continue for as long as possible- i imagine if i kept keeping it open to them they would continue saying yes- do you have any advice around this?

We actually don't end therapy for the client, if they want more then they get more.

    Is that product placement?

I'm really curious what kept that client coming back for the three sessions until they managed to articulate their best hopes.😊

You'd have to ask Chris. However, I know that those sessions took place with Chris going to see the client in his hospital room. He was not coming to therapy.
