Totally agree, when he arrived he was badly treated at Spurs through no fault of his own. Yes there is a question about his defending, however not in terms of his ability e.g. in a 2022 interview with The Athletic, Gabriel Martinelli named Spence as his most difficult opponent, then while at Rennes he received high praise from the French media for his performance against Messi and Mbappe. The defensive issues for Spence have been more around his defensive discipline and positioning. There is someone at Genoa who has followed Spence's career and believes in his talent and has worked with him. If Spence should now prove successful with Ange I think Spurs should consider loaning more young talent to Genoa.

Hopefully he can impress Ange enough to get a place in the squad. It will solve a multitude of problems if he can. It would save us having to buy another player, giving us more money to spend in other areas, save us the painful experience of trying to negotiate with Italian clubs, who don't want to pay anything over £4M for players, and also help us with the home grown quota. There is clearly a very good player there and he is easily good enough for a squad place if he knuckles down.

I really hope he’s had a positive chat with Ange and he works his socks off, wants to genuinely play for us. He is an ideal back up to Porro and could play 20+ games this season so he can rotate with Porro. He’d save us money and mean Gray can focus in playing where he should be as no 6 or 8.

It would be good for Spurs if Spence adjusts his attitude as he does have talent. Levy will personally be happy if that is the case too. Defensively he can get turned inside however he is young and can improve on that.
We have a lot of holes in the squard to fill maybe it's worth keeping spence and reglion as backup and see how the season goes get rid in Jan or the summer if it's not working. You have to bear in mind that playing well against a second string Hearts team doesn't put him "on the cusp" of the first team. By all means give him an opportunity to improve and potentially gain first team inclusion. But that is on him to do what is necessary.

Dejch had showed that he wants to be in the teams , Squads , playing with his team mates & showed a different sides of him in his games , mentality , his deciplines , decisions makings , behaviours to be more actives , commited & totally showed what he can gives to them team . In the first 2 games , he didn't disappoints all manager , Coaching Staffs , all Spurs fand & Supporters . He had showed Tottenham's Supporter his commitments , his skills , mentality , good attitudes , more mature , responsibles . Infacts he had changed very surprisingly which All Spurs fans didnts even expects . For me , Ange must gives Dejch Spence his 1st. real chance , Opportunities to take stages , shows his hidden talents that the Spurs fans hadn't seen in his game during his transfer , stayed , his training after joining Spurs . He needs to adapts , giving those Opportunities & proves peoples wrong in these Club next Season . Spence is even more of a natural wingback than Porro. Like you said I’m not sure he has defensive discipline needed for that position in our system.

You have to bear in mind that playing well against a second string Hearts team doesn't put him "on the cusp" of the first team.
By all means give him an opportunity to improve and potentially gain first team inclusion. But that is on him to do what is necessary.

I don't think it's flip flop thinking from most fans. Most people recognise his talent and wanted for him to be given a chance. The main issue seems to be with his attitude. Which none of us can say with any certainty how good or bad that is. We can only assume it's shown some kind of improvement. He made it on the plane to play Hearts while Reguilon and Gil were left at home. Whether he will impress enough remains to be seen.
