I thoroughly enjoyed this exercise... thanks Jo. I must admit that translating isn't my cup of tea but I didn't mind this well thought out exercise. I did quite well, I was able to translate most sentences word for word correctly. Just a few points: Sentence n.2 I put "tiring - opinion before "long - size/shape". Sentence n.6 I used the word "call" instead of "phone" - I'll call you back etc. Sentence n.8 I used the word "seaside" instead of beach. Take care and thanks again.

"Driven" and "so far" are just some amongst many examples of expressions that didn't come to my mind readily, showing me how useful and needed this test was
Very useful , Thanks! I completely missed the third sentence because I didn’t know how to translate ‘consiglio’ and I used the verb ‘share’ instead of ‘divide’. In the 5th Sentence I didn’t use ‘to’ after want and in the 6th I translated ‘within One hour”…some mistakes 😅

I haven't had the time to see all your videos, but given I live in the UK I gave it a try and I got too many wrong. Tricky thing is, when I translate from Italian, I think in Italian and that's when I translate too literally. My English is more correct if I think in English directly. But thank you, very useful!
Hi Joe, on the #8 I translated as "Yesterday they told me they were going to come to the sea today". Aside from the "beach" that fits better with what we meant, I thought of expressing the "intention to", "will to" come with a continuous tense, although I thought that a past continuous would have been more fitting for this case since the intention was expressed yesterday. Would it be equally correct ? Where did I go wrong ? Thank you for your amazing lectures!
