I thank you for sharing your insight that building will save you 50% of the cost of a new boat. I, like many dreamers without experience, presumed DIY building would save a lot more money. It is best to understand the realities of bringing a dream to life while still in the dreaming phase and not a year into a project.
You did an extraordinarily good job with your panga, start to finish. I hope the boat has proven to be everything you wanted in terms of its performance.
That is Awesome!! I've redone a few older boats in the past but I've never built my own. I hope to build my own from scratch like that one day! Great job, hopefully you've been able to enjoy it now that you're done.
Ron Baldal, that’s honestly less then I’d imagine with how it turned out. It’s hard to find that much time now a days to put into a project of that magnitude but it’s great to see when someone is able to and commits to something like that! Hopefully you get to enjoy the reward of getting use out of it now. Keep up the good work and inspiring others to do something productive with the time they do have!
Wow ! This is an incredible project . You sir are an incredibly talented CRAFTSMAN ! God has blessed you with incredible SKILLS ! CONGRATS , KUDOS , and all other synonyms APPLY ! 🙏🏼👍👍TWO THUMBS UP !!! New subscriber , you've earned it !
Nice. I want to make something like that in my country 🇨🇺 with small 25 or 30 HP diesel power. Thanks you make a happy day for me. Enjoy your hard work.
very nice build, it got better and better. Like they say with boats, if it looks fair, it most likely is fair. Besides, that fish @5:32 made it all worthwhile. All the best from England.
Thanks John! I get an amazing 4.6 MPG on an average day on the ocean. With the 90 hp and the right prop, my top speed is 29.8 mph WOT, but cruise at around 16-24 mph, it all depends on the swell. I've been in some really rough water and of course need to match the speed with the waves, but the design handles the rough stuff pretty well. I have never taken a wave over the bow, but it can slam down when the swells are over 5-6 feet. I try to avoid going out when the swell is more than half the period, ie 4' every 8 seconds.I hope I have answered all your questions?
Hello Friend. The. Wood you used how many millimeters or inches thick is it? And how much was he. Fiber coating. You could place the used materials. From already thank you very much
Carlos, The floor is 1/2 inch, the sides 3/8" marine plywood, which has no voids in lamination. Two layers of 50 ounce cloth on the hull. You can buy the plans for $150 at the link above.
See?? First I start watching the video, I start getting my list together, then all of the sudden a million dollar boat starts coming together along with a huge grin, then I see myself just fishing from shore
I suggest looking the website noted above, boatbuildercentral.com, or saltboatworks.com or Devlin. The forum at boatbuildercentral.com was really helpful. ( I have no affiliation).

Im interested about panga boats design they looks suitable and soft in water
The Panga is the most common boat design in the world! It is smooth on the water and has excellent fuel economy due to it's long and narrow design.
Just WoW.
