We've already explained how to build an Ignition Key Transponder Detector. Now let's explore the need for this gadget and how to use it.
Have your ever wanted to bypass your anti-theft system? Ever lost your car's ignition key and had to buy, cut, and reprogram your new key? What if your vehicle won't accept the new key? What if the new key is fine, but your car still won't start?
Well, the issue can be traced to a few problem areas. But, if you can't determine the operation of your key, you're done. The only other way is to have a factory scanner, but these are thousands of dollars, and out of reach for most repair shops and Do-It-Yourselfers.
Here are the possible problem areas, and how to go about repairing them. In order to do a proper anti-theft diagnostic, do the following.

We've made a few of these gadgets over the years, as this technology has evolved. This technology is nothing new. Lots of industrial devices use what's called a "TAG" identification system. It's even used in retail business to prevent theft. Seen those little while tags hidden in products? It is called a bateryless identification tagging system and adapted for automobiles. The technology is the same...Thanks for posting.
This gadget is only a detector. It'll tell you if the key is outputting a code. Is doesn't do anything by means of programming the keys. Your best bet is a good locksmith and not the dealer as they're too expensive. Good luck...
Thank you. I know, anti-theft is a whole series in itself. It is one of our planned video series. We've done lots of testing with key code and it's really not that different than programming other devices. The issue becomes a problem when you need scanners to reprogram the keys, which is meant to squeeze money from techs.
I bought asalvage motorcycle. And did fully restored it but the ecu still blocking the system because i bought a new ignition lock sysyem from the dealer. When i use the computer everything seems fine but the odometer shows that the alarm is on which doesnt allow the system to start. Is there any solution? Or do i need to programe the ignition lock? It is a 2014 triumph street triple. Thank you
