Hey Dapper..if you haven't played it before (it is over 10 years old) you should check out Rock of Ages, or either of its two sequels. Definitely right up your alley. You are the marble (boulder, actually), and you have to roll down a countryside, avoiding obstacles, and break down the door of the enemy castle. Meanwhile, the enemy is trying to do the same, so in between your runs, while a new boulder is being built, you have to set up traps/obstacles to try to stop the AI from breaking down your castle door first.
It think you will like it, and I think it would make a good series, given your content.

I'd probably play the second one if you wanted to play just one. IT had some of the kinks worked out that the first one had, but also is simple enough to pick up right away. The third one isn't HARD to pick up right away, but it does assume players had already played at least one of the former ones.
