  • Jyugoya is also known as the full moon of autumn.
    During Jyugoya, the Japanese usually prepare special dishes to enjoy the view of the majestic moon.
    Our tradition is to make rice dumpling, enjoying the moon while having rice dumplings.
    It's more like a peaceful relaxation time when a family would sit outside & quietly enjoy the moon.

    Mitarashi Kushi Dango / Tsukimi Otōpuda n Go
    Season 4 - Episode 4

    [ Original Flavor ]
    Glutinous rice flour - 50gm
    Silken tofu ( Soft tofu ) - 50gm
    [ Matcha Flavor ]
    Glutinous rice flour - 50~55gm
    Green tea powder - 1 teaspoon
    Silken tofu ( Soft tofu ) - 50gm
    [ Black Sesame Flavor ]
    Glutinous rice flour - 50gm
    Black sesame powder - 1 tablespoon
    Silken tofu ( Soft tofu ) - roughly 60gm
    [ Mitarashi Sauce ]
    Water - 120cc
    Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
    Mirin - 1 tablespoon
    Sugar - 80gm
    Potato starch - roughly 1 tablespoon ( + Water - 1 tablespoon )
