Quarter inch impact sockets are a must, I use them more often now than my 3/8. They are relatively inexpensive and prevent you from abusing your 1/4” chrome sockets with an impact
I avoided buying a 1/4 square drive impact for years because I just used an adapter with my impact driver. Eventually I bought the 1/4” impact and the proper sockets and now I seriously can’t imagine working my without it. It’s light weight and compact and great for disassembling/reassembling body panels on machinery.
Just got that air hammer cpl weeks ago. Absolute beast! Haven’t got to put it to the full test being from the rust belt but from what I have so far it’s a beast and feels comfortable in use. Definitely doesn’t disappoint.
I bought the promaster hub bearing puller. It’s stupid nice and very well crafted. The case has foam cut outs for all the pieces. I paid $800 when it launched three years ago on the Matco truck. I’ve seen it going for $1200 now
I would like to see the video on crimping tools. I bought the Kline ratcheting crimp tool and it does not work good for 10 Gauge wire. Is Knipex crimping tool worth it? Can you also do a video on crimping tools for faros.
As a class 7,8 and earth moving tech I am finding that I am using 1/4 drive impact sockets more and more than ever before. The torque that these fasteners take is low and 3/8 drive can do it and has done it for years but 1/4 runs a lower risk of snapping or stripping the fasteners especially when it comes to nutserts
Wow ,I picked up two pair of USA safety wire pliers this summer at an estate sale for five bucks. At the time I didn't have any idea what they were worth.
How goes it cp? I’m currently at the beginning of the video and I will say I picked up the IR air hammer. 135 max! And it’s great! Also, I own a set of deep 1/4 impact sockets but only the Milwaukee ones.
1/4 drive impacts are useful especially with 1/4 drive impact guns. Sadly too many use chromes with impacts which is unsafe as well as lighter than impact sockets.
I hope that is a misprint on the hand cleaner even if that is a case , most it would be is 6 jugs and it would still be too expensive. I can buy a lot of dawn and libman brushes for that price
I only use 1/4 sockets on my hex driver and it’s for light duty stuff, like clamps. Personally, I don’t feel a “need” for 1/4 impacts except for my magnetics. As for the crimping video, pretty sure I commented once wanting to see it. While not an expert by any means, love making connectors for components such as A/C compressors. Everyone I work with just cuts the wire and uses butt connectors. I feel like it’s becoming a lost art due to people getting lazy.
@@CPthetooladdict Im at a bus barn and never worked automotive professionally so they may be different. But it kills me how lazy people are about just using space connectors. Making a Weatherpack or Deutsch looks so much nicer and is so much better. Hell, some of the guys I work with don’t even use the heat shrink ones. They’ll put a normal every day butt connector on a wire under the hood just begin for water intrusion.
Manufacturers have reduced fastener sizes and 1/4" sockets are needed more now than ever. If you're running a 1/4" impact on the daily you should have 1/4" impact sockets.

Good point, I 100% agree and approve this message
Agreed 👍
@@peterchristlieb thank you!

You can never go wrong with a dedicated tool, it always works better than an adapter.

Glad to hear it's working out for ya!
1/4 impact extensions and sockets really help with not wearing out anvils
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT
Much love back at ya brother. Hope you have a great night too.

Dayyyyyum, that's wild
Thank you cp.
You're welcome!
I bought and use 1/4 impact sockets. I like them a lot..
Good to know!
Those mud flaps are pretty cool.
Cp will you be covering the new matco torque force swivel sockets. Im curious to know if theyre usa made or not. I doubt they would be

It's coming I'm working on it as we speak

That makes a lot of sense.
I love 1/4 inch impacts. I have them in deep, shallow, wobble, and shallow magnetic,

KnKut are very good step bits. I got the 4 piece big set and the cut like a hot knife through butter. Made in the USA!!!!!
Do you have the matcos also?
Best looking ratchets are Snap On
Yeah, they are nice, but you know what's also nice? A nice air hammer.

My 3/8 split beam is great! I always wondered who made those
Good for you! Glad you are enjoying your air hammer, that's awesome
@@CPthetooladdict kind of wish I would’ve waited and gotten the snap on on a student promo. 265 bucks damn that one hurt a week after I got my ir 😂
That air hammer looks super similar to snap on’s. Think it’s another rebrand?
It's definitely not the same as the snap-on. There's is made by soiux air which they own. These are made in Taiwan.

Good video cp. 1/4 impact sockets are worth it
You already know, been running mine for years.
Tool porn !! 😂😂 may I suggest we call standard "freedom fractions". nice review, enjoy your weekend.
Thats a good deal on the air hammer i would consider if i didn't upgrade last week on 1/2 dr impact
I feel ya, hard to resist a good deal!

Amen
I got 1/2 split beam on order

What up CP?
Shock a socket on MCI motor coach caliper 👌. Zero clearance and 30mm at 600 ft/lbs
That's what I'm talking about!
1/4 drive impacts are used by me everyday never use chromes anymore
Show me your crimp..😉...1/4 impact 💯 .. 8mm driveshaft bolts with minimal clearance , adapted to 3/8 impact gun..glad I had them..👍
