    It broke my heart to see how disappointed she was in herself when she thought she couldn't do it...
    Children are so precious.

      @1KITIG 3 ปีที่แล้ว +69

      Well let me assure you it was a huge milestone she just overcame that we got to see, I believe wasn’t as much about the disappointment but more so about the realization that there’s a thing she don’t know how to do, it is a deep one for a kid, but it is a milestone that we all go through in our development. This is a milestone we go through before we teach ourselves to expand our knowledge.

    If a child made a painting of me like that, it would be framed and over our fireplace. It's perfection!

      If I were rich I’d always choose a child’s painting over the supposed art that sells for a fortune.

    “I’m allowed to make mistakes, and still be loved.” I wish every child on 🌍 felt this. It is transformative.

    Not only is this experience good for the children it is also good for the old people. Back in the day the older generation played a large role in the life of their grand-kids. In this day and age a lot of the generational family nucleus has been lost, it is good to see that at least here that importance is being recognized. Our older generation is a treasure that should not be squandered.

    bruh why was it so heart breaking to watch her cry over that like it’s okay little girl you’re doing great

  • @EllaBirt
    @EllaBirt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    The clinical psychologist narrating this segment was so spot on saying this type of reinforcement lets a child know, "As a child, I'm allowed to make mistakes and still be loved.
    And that's a very insightful, candid, intrinsically perfectionistic young girl (meaning she yearns to express her creative vision, what she views as ideal and beautiful or does justice to her sincere appreciation of a subject, but is not yet experienced enough in any medium of communication or dexterity to achieve her grand vision). She seems highly-sensitive and aware. It's natural for a child like this to have big emotions and to be critical of themselves - this gentle support is so good.

    My mother told me that while my grandad never got to enjoy his childhood, when he was with me and my brother he could forget everything and just play. He didn’t have any responsibility, just had to have fun, and I think that’s something everyone deserves, regardless of age! I think you forget in time, and children can bring back the joy of just playing

    Hurts a lot to see that at such a young age she learned to get so upset at herself when she doesn’t do something “perfectly.” It’s so important to build a childs confidence and teach them that having fun and learning is all that matters. Love this program for her and hope she’ll become more confident in herself :’)

    I'm not a clinical psychologist but if the hearts mean anything at all she's quite fond of John. Despite what she thought if her art,I think she made him look good. The colours are happy ones IMO too. Looks like she associates him with butterflies or flowers too( not sure which it is). I would keep that painting It's nicely done.

    I miss my grandfather. He was my rolemodel, my teacher, my coach, my professor, and my dad. He was the man that stepped up and raised me. He guided me to the end. He thought he was gon' lose me in January 2021 due to covid. I was bed rest for over a week. I couldn't walk, talk, move much due to the bodyaches. I didn't eat and lost over 40 pounds. But I lost him a week after. I was so heartbroken. I lost my job because I told them I need to have a leave of absent due to covid and they let me go instead. My funds were running out. My grandfather was not buried yet for over 2 months in the morgue due to postpone and he had no life insurance to pay his funeral services. I became homeless in April 2021. But now I have a great place. Two days ago, was my birthday.
