Hey, Brian! I enjoyed talking to you and Sam and discovering how much our childhoods overlapped! We hear a great deal (deservedly) about the experiences of monster kids in Cleveland, Pittsburgh et al. but things were pretty wonderful for us in Toronto and Buffalo, too, in the late 70s and early 80s. And that night security guard had a great deal to do with it! Hey, you! Best, Doug
Wow I really enjoyed this video thank you for making it. I've never been to this show but after watching this I think I might try to attend next year (IISA) You included shots of a lot of things I would have loved to add to my collection but something that stood out to me was the vintage poster of the Phantom with the tiger around 3:57. I'm a big fan and would have loved to get that framed on my wall. Thank you for all your entertaining and informative videos and best of luck with your Lincoln Monsters project!!
Wow! Looks like an awesome show! Thanks for sharing this! I definitely would have picked up your Lincoln monsters, the Cine album, the Bruce Lee posters, autograph from Carol Monroe, the blood of the beast bust, some of the pinbacks, and the AHI monsters.
Some very cool stuff! Yeah I’d have gone for the Trek stuff and the Lincoln figure. But the Bullmark Kong, and the Toho kaiju set, those would have suckered me in. Maybe some of the dvd films. And I was very intrigued by the large row of statue figures next to a ‘wooden building wall’ that you showed early and late in the video. The Medusa-ish young lady was neat, the green-faced reptile lady was cool, and the vampire(?) who looked like Tony Curtis from the side really chilling. I also thought I saw some short busts, one being Vincent Price. Would have been an awesome find as well. Yeah, amazing stuff. I would ❤ to visit these shows you are lucky enough to visit, I haven’t been able to for a while. (I need to downsize a lot of books, toys, and vehicles… lol)
That Kong vinyl you picked up looks real neat, love vintage Japanese card art! The fact that the Mego Kong was a mayonnaise giveaway also delights me to no end lol.
Thanks for the video. Nice to finally see what Monster Bash is like. I would probably dig it. That group of early Eighties Godzilla vinyls was a flashback; I remember seeing a whole table of those at the first big show I went to as a kid, in Chicago. I'd certainly hunt for vintage monster mags like Castle of Frankenstein; that was my jam and occasionally still is. In fact, I placed my first order with Ron Adams earlier in the summer for some mags that included my first Toy-Ventures. Go Pulsar!
So many amazing things there. If I could walk off with anything, that full scale Hammer Frankenstein would be at the top of my list, but those Hawaiian Kikaida magazines looked pretty great too.
I enjoyed this so much. It was so neat to be able to see a bit of the Son of Monster Bash show. A real treat. That Japanese MEGO mayonnaise King Kong is absolute baddassery. On the table with two Vampiras' and the purple velvet lined box with the four monsters, there was a small black box with art depicting a vintage looking ghost with a glow in the dark aura. I am curious about what that is.
@ I would, certainly, consider that. Some of the shows in PA and OH are deceptively far away but this one isn’t too far at all. I will start lobbying the wife now for next year! 😉🧛🏽♂️
I'm sure a ton of people already mentioned this but nowadays Lincoln also would be a natural with various vampire figures. Oh and the figure that Mego or someone really needs to make is the Gilligan/Mr. Hyde dreamscene figure. And shame the Atlas Seaboard line doesn't have Morloch's other self or any Planet of Vampires figures out to be at this bash (heck, now that I think if it, neaely half their characters would've fit in here).
I got my Lincoln Monster set and man they are great, love the figures and all the cool boxes and stuff that came with them. Soooo will there be more characters released in the future? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
13:46 "regerts"?? 😁 Sorry, I'm not really a "grammar nazi". I just couldn't resist... PS - I would definitely have purchased those King Kong 76 figures and gotten some autographs.
The Bigfoot board game token! That would’ve come home with me. Oh, and Ms. Munroe! I would put her on a pedestal and dust her regularly. I wouldn’t play with her. I’d keep her cherry mint in box.
Very amazing Universal Monsters toys 😮
Fantastic coverage! A veritable screen saver of coolness!

I'm a huge The Munsters show fan ! I would have liked that plastic cup of them or the family car that looked ceramic. Thanks for the great video !
I noticed the knockoffs catalog by the table, they were also on my toys collection in both 70s & 80s.Nice video thx.
Another awsome video! Especially those Rare Mego King Kongs too.
Yeah those were super neat to hold.

The King Kong toys are really nice looking,
This looks like it was a lot of fun! I would have totally gotten that Shining carpet pattern shirt.
My friend bought one on the way out.
Looks fun
Hey Brain,
Awesome!!!

I should have bought the Kikaida mags, they were cool and it was my friend's table.
I've been looking for that CINE sticker album for well over two decades.
this one might end up on eBay.
@@BrickMantooth Was there ever a box for the packs? I'm assuming it would be a 200 packet size.
Love that Phantom poster. Is that an authentic vintage item?
Yeah it's from the late 60s, the pop art and camp trend.
@ thank you!
I was shocked to see Pink Lady merchandise there, just after the Kamen Rider mask!

As usual, your background music choice is perfect for immersing the viewer in your video! Looked like an amazing time! 👍🏼💀🧟♂️🧛🏽♂️
You should consider checking it out next time, it's not a long drive at all.

Would have eaten all the Coffee Crisps. The V merch, nice to see.
Monster bash looks like a lot of fun. I couldn't help but notice the Stella Star statue for $45 perfect thing for Caroline Munro to sign 😊
And my friend did that very thing.
💪😎
$40 for a GOLEM statuette?! What a steal!

Hallmark Batman !!!!
One item that would go home with me isn't monster related. That seemingly unrelated Bandit from Jonny Quest statue/figurine would have been it.
What are those monster figurines starting at 1:51? Who makes them?
I believe his handle is "the clay guy." he sat there all weekend painting, and that looked really zen.
13:46 "regerts"?? 😁
Sorry, I'm not really a "grammar nazi". I just couldn't resist...

I think he always spells it like that. Little joke on Brian's part. During his live streams, he also calls himself Brain.
@@Dorelaxen It is intentional, I saw it on a tattoo once, found it funny.
Are mego toys available in Philippines?
I do love a graveyard smash. Ghoulishly Boo-tiful video... ah ah ah
