This video masterfully reminds us that handling dishonesty isn't about "winning" a confrontation, but about maintaining our peace, our integrity, and our values-truly Stoic at heart.

Beautifully said! It's not about 'winning' but about staying true to ourselves and our principles. A Stoic approach helps us respond with wisdom, not emotion. Thank you for sharing such thoughtful insight!

Great video! Stoicism teaches us timeless lessons about resilience, perspective, and self-mastery. It's a reminder that we can't control external events, but we can always choose our response. Thanks for sharing this wisdom!

When you walk away from people like that, they say behind your back that you're too nice to hang out with them.

Core Stoic Principles on Handling Lie: Control your emotions rather than reacting impulsively. Recognize that dishonesty reflects more on the liar than on you. Manage emotional responses like disappointment and anger with a calm mindset. Thank you for sharing!

10:03 Silence is often the most powerful response. Instead of reacting impulsively, pause for 10-15 seconds. This creates discomfort for the liar, often prompting them to over-explain or contradict themselves. Silence not only maintains your composure but also gives you time to reflect on how to respond wisely, as Epictetus advised: "It is not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters."

Dishonesty is dishonesty. Making excuses for lying doesn't work for me. You lost me about 6 minutes in.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. Dishonesty is indeed a challenging topic, and the goal was to explore how we can respond to it without compromising our own values. I appreciate your honesty and feedback-it helps me grow and improve

@@RISEWITHSTOICISMUS I appreciate your response. You can twist yourself into a pretzel shape with compromise and still lose with a liar. Their is no winning with a person that has no integrity and lies to cover their own backends at your expense. Liars don't have values.
