  • THE EASIEST WAY TO LINE UP TRACKS TO A SPECIFIC LOCATION IS TO DESELECT "SNAP TO GRID" UNDER THE OPTIONS MENU.
How to add an original track into Ableton along with multitracks and line up perfectly. The easiest way is to go to options and turn off snap to grid. Each time I would move the mp3 track, it would snap into a location that was different from the other tracks. In this video, the simple fix was to change the grid to 1/32 or "off." Thank you Miles at Ableton technical support for helping me with what is probably a no-brainer for other people. LOL!

Oh man! I am totally new to Ableton and it drove me crazy that the stems weren't aligned correctly! I haven't seen this little guy down in the corner... THANK YOU! Blessings from Vienna

Glad it helped! I was finding a lot of videos would explain how to do some things and yet leave out minor details assuming everyone knows how to do the simple things. Anyhow, glad it helped.
