A tool that costs 5 coin per use so close to the dock and having your ship auto dock would be nice. Like calling out tow lines to pull your ship in.

Great video. I finally bought the game, and I'm really enjoying it. It fits right in with my truck Sims (ATS and ETS2).

Hey I started out with this and ended up getting ATS! haha. They really compliment each other.

Gold Rock city shipyard has a lot of options for that ship too.

Each of the shipyards have unique options for all the ships now, I'm excited to see what's out there.

Best place for a chronometer is on a poop-deck. So that You can monitor Your current time while fishing during the ocean sailing, so that You don't miss the time to when you have to calculate Your Longitude with Sun-compass and chronometer readings.

Enjoying your content and this series, but hey, you bought 2 barrels of water and only loaded 1 of them...?

I cut out the part where I went back for the other barrel. Good eye!

Honestly, if you like the regular sails on the Sanbuq, keep them because once you change them, you have lost them forever. But Aestrin, or even back in Al'Ankh, has a better selection of sails. I personally like the huge golden wings of the Pure unchanged Sanbuq.

I think it's original lateen sail setup is a lot better for this ship. I am actually looking forward to try lateen sail set for my current brig.

Let me know how it turns out!

Lateen sails are very efficient, due to their shape, the CE (centre of effort) is lower than most sails. So on a tight close haul there is lower side ways effort placed on the vessel. The trade off is they need a lot of room fore and aft because of the need to keep the CE near the mast as close as possible.

@@SimGamerTV Upgraded my brig to the three-masted Caravel using lateen sails on the mainmast and mizzen and a single square on the foremast. Also I was able to move the ship wheel to the weather-deck. And I have to say I am having a blast with that set. It feels like completely different kind of ship. There are two kinds of lateen sails - Gold Rock city style and Fort-Aestrin style lateen rigs. I am having the best performance with Aestrin lateen but GRC lateen felt more pretty and fitting for a Caravel style rig. Mainmast and foremast need to switch alternative type of shrouds to give lateen sails a better angle. It's a very expensive upgrade but I highly recommend it - it feels like a completely different kind of ship.
A largest lateen will fit on the main mast and it is enough to push the ship very fast. A smaller lateen on the mizzen will help when You need to keep the ship close hauled but usually the mizzen lateen has to be reefed a lot to avoid ending in irons when You leave the wheel.
A square on the foremast is needed mostly when wind-breaking or pushing the ship in reverse. Most of the time I use a jib instead of that square sail.
The biggest benefit to this rig is simplicity and ability to trim the sails so that ship keeps it's direction very precisely while You leave the rudder to sleep.
A few screenshots can be found on Sailwind discord.

Enjoying the game but the mechanics around docking are really frustrating. It seems better to jump out and shove the ship around.

The new mooring line mechanic really helps improve docking. Check out my latest episode to see it in action.

Really wish you would go through all the options, like roof and shrouds etc. instead of focusing entirely on sails.

I think this was released during the first round of upgrades, so there may be more options than what I had available at the time.
