Yea I used to get it a lot. Unfortunately the best way is to just upgrade hardware as squad is a very suboptimally performing game. Otherwise dial down shadows first then other things like textures, in scope prioritise clarity in scopes (not AA) and make sure you uncheck the box to uncap texture pool as that causes the most stuttering. Clear cache and verify files too as this can also impede performance
Do you have to download 1000 mods to play this game like Arma? I tried for an hour last night to get into a multiplayer game of Arma and I couldn't figure it out.
no... that's not even remotely what happened. 2 very different mods from different modding community's. They got flagged and removed for stealing assets and going against OWI advertising policy, they were warned a week in advance and then the modders played dumb and fought against OWI and now they have to fix everything before they can upload it again.
@@Na7han71what do you mean by advertising? Usually you are allowed to advertise discord’s or other servers on/for other games what’s the problem? OWI is SUPER insecure about their player count. Ig.
From what I’ve read the mod devs burned in the ads for their GE server into the mod itself so every other server running the mod would see the ad to join their “official GE” server (called “The Real Invasion” allegedly). This understandably goes against OWI’s policy and their licence to host a listed mod was revoked due to this

Thankfully no, just go into the workshop for Squad and hit subscribe/download. Same thing with all the other game mods
