1v1 is the BEST way to get better at the game, and truly shows you your own faults along with where you need to improve :) thats how i went stuck to gold to diamond/champ. good job and keep up the great work!
honestly 2v2 is a better game mode in my opinion, since the game focuses more on teamwork it's better to incorporate some team play, especially 2's, it's arguably the golden ratio in rocket league since it gives you more leeway to make mistakes and doesn't punish you for making one mistake. It also makes your team work skills better, like knowing when to pressure and when to stay back as well as rotation around the map. Back when I first started playing the game I also liked 1's a lot but my skill level definitely improved dramatically because of 2's. It helped me jump from high gold to low champ and I would definitely recommend it.
