This guy is saving this band, he is not Ivan for sure, but he's fronting a BIG band and singing songs that aren't his and doing a good job. So instead of insulting the guy we should thank him for keeping FFDP alive. Otherwise I don't see many people able to sing those songs like Ivan.
you got a good point there, and I agree that Tommy saved the band. I heard him live not to long ago myself on Tons Of Rock (metal music festival in Norway) and I loved how close he was to sounding like Ivan too

Stephen K the point here wasn't to compared, but to point it out that if he wasn't for him FFDP wouldn't be playing. Ivan is good. But a basket case. And I'm sure you know, there are many guys out there that could cover this songs as well.
I agree. Obviously we are used to Ivan and his way of singing, his voice etc. since all those songs were created and awesomely played by the band from the beggining. I really don't think anyone will ever fit in the role left vacant by him. But we gotta agree that Tommy isn't bad, he really is doing a good job keeping the band alive and singing content that aren't his in a manner that please the fans. So thanks for that and I hope Ivan will be back soon, I can't imagine listening to FFDP without him in the future.

Ivan has carved out a place in metal, and plays such a integral role in this band. That being said, Tommy did such an amazing job. Imagine for a second that, in addition to one band, you need to front two. Props to Tommy on his stellar job for filling in for Ivan.

I got to see them a week ago and bad wolves opened and it was the show where Ivan played the joke and had tommy on stage when ffdp started and everyone freaked out. lol I thought it was just Ivan and him sharing the stage then Ivan after the song was like sorry I fucked with everyone my own fucking band didn’t know this was going to happen. It was so fucking amazing. Ffdp helped me a lot through some tough times and dealing with my sobriety and then just even hit me more with Ivan getting sober. This band helps and touches more people than I think they could ever know.

Just met tommy Sunday at a restaurwant in pioneer square in Seattle. Never approached anyone for an autograph before then. Waited til he finished I think three plates of food lol. He was cool as fuck. Happy and kind and stood up shook hands asked if I wanted a photo (I’d never have had the courage to ask so I’m glad he did!!) he wrote my name and a message “thanks for saying hi. Both of the singer's who stepped up was the ONE positive effect of Ivan having to seek treatment. It just made it even more clear how vital to this band he really is. They all are and take any member away and it wouldn't be the same. Glad he's back now!!
If you guys don’t know Tommy use to be in a band called Divine Heresy for one album back in 2007. That’s where I became a fan of him. If you haven’t heard anything by them and are a fan of hard metal (death metal or whatever you want to call it nowadays) check it out because he’s amazing in that band too

Bad Wolves and Five Finger Death Punch are my two favorite bands because of their fucking great sound but also their attitude. Takes a lot for anyone in an established band to take a step away to take care of themselves. Mad respect for these dudes.

I don't understand how people in the comments hate him and his singing of this song, I've listened to both Bad Wolves and Five Finger Death Punch equally and yes they have different voices, but honestly, even when knowing it was Tommy, I couldn't tell the difference between Tommy and Ivan's voice for this specific song.

Kevin Meadows he’s good in the sense of this but, I saw them this past summer when BB was with 5fdp and he sounds better live than in studio. Although, I still don’t think he sounds good, he’s constantly out of tune and his music just doesn’t work with his voice

I’ve seen ffdp multiple times and tommy vext when he was still with bad wolves. Tommy is by far the best vocalist I’ve seen live and to top it off he’s not afraid to speak his mind.

The singer for Bad Wolves gave credit as needed, fucking killed it, and that's it. He has dealt with so much personally it's insane that he not only manages his own wildly successful career but also is able to do something like this. Cant wait to have an opportunity to see him live.

Lets be honest for minute. If Ivan didn't come back at all, we would probably accept Tommy more. Worked for other bands in the past (iron maiden, black sabbath, anthrax, helloween) to name a few...however.....just open your mind for a few minutes....Helloween have both singers now....imagine what FFDP could do with both Ivan AND Tommy together...........even just 1 album. Please!!!!!!!!
