I'm surprised you didn't take a mold of those slugs, Jeff.... BTW, let me take a moment to say that as much as we love the OG, every time I see Danny as the guest shooter, it does my heart good. :-) I just came out of the hospital from beating cancer for the 4th time. Good to still be above dirt. :-)
I like how you show Danny's two missed shots at the end. So many channels edit out attempts that aren't perfect. Danny is an excellent shot, this just shows he's human.
The magazines and steel bucket footage was really awesome, and your'e right, the Poleva's has a very flat trajectory compared to 12ga. Danny was just a bit high :) Good shooting Danny.
That was some amazing slow motion. If you look carefully at the ground on the long distance shot you can actually see the shockwave of the slug as it passes and picks up the dust. Great video as always though ☺👍
Great shooting *Danny.* Those had some recoil to them. I felt those over here on the east coast. Personally I like the "Dance of The Ballistics Gel" in slow motion. Thanks for the videos guys. Much appreciated. *:)*
Holy hell, Danny’s shoulder must be sore. That’s a hell of a round. Would be good to see some slow mo in future of the shooter taking the force of a recoil.
Just buy a neoprene and rubber shoulder saver most sporting stores stock them they just take that initial wack out that you get off magnum loads you still feel a push it doesn't really take all that much recoil out but it's a difference between a bruised shoulder or a not bruised shoulder I swere buy them for 3 inch magnums mines a jack pyke one I think
You guys are the best. Always lotsa interesting ammo and fun tests. When I sign on to YT, yours is the first site I go to. Keep up the great work. Thank you, Jeff et al.
Danny is always shooting these Russian slugs... He always struck me as someone who like to take his time.... Get it?!.... I'll be here all week folks lol
Russia has some weird gun laws where you can't own a rifle until you've had a shotgun for a bunch of years so that's why they have 5000 different slug designs to compete with rifles they can't have easily. In the US you have rifles. These different slugs to the Russians is like people getting together and arguing about their chosen rifle calibers for game. Still really cool slugs, and most are easy to make if we just had molds.
Now that is a beastly slug! Got to say, the results are impressive. Imagine slinging those through some semiauto shotgun in rapid succession. That'd put a world of hurt on whatever is your target, and quite probably your shoulder as well. Let's hope these get more widespread!
+Erik Blackboar I'm thinking that these would actually be more enjoyable to shoot through a semi-auto shotgun. They tend to soak up a bit of the recoil, at least in my experience. The only exception might be the Browning A5 (original)/Remington Model 11, because of the long-recoil action.
TAOFLEDERMAUS cool video as always but its why I subscribe to you guys that slug would have home defense potential no over penetrating like a frangible slug 👌💪🐾🐺💕
These are some devastating rounds! It's too bad they aren't easier to acquire! I hope the 12 gauge sniper's shoulder is ok. Ads suck, but I'd rather watch 4 or 5 than not be able to watch the all the great work you guys do to give us all something to look forward to.
I know this is a old video but I love what you guys do, Danny needs a raise and should be the head of the swat team lol , he's the most gifted shot I've seen , shooting big caliber slugs takes a serious shooter. Keep up the good work guys here in South Georgia we appreciate you.
loved the video. it all ways hard to pick a favorite channels for this type of stuff but after thinking on it i have to say i think your is my favorite. Also keep of the good work with the framing of the shots.
I gave a reeling that somewhere out there in the world is a fully functional proper APDS 12 gauge round that actually works... it would be a sight to behold!
Blind in one eye and deaf in the other ? . . . You know things are buggered when you go deaf in one eye !!! Danny, Jeff keep up the good work champs, peace from down under.
I have watched many of your vids and I think you are vastly improving the slo motion clips. I love to see what the thing looks like that is in the shell and how it flies through the air. Ive started to take some ideas from this and that ... I have started to draw up some designs ... I currently have no wat to make them, but I would like to be able to send you some sketches to start a dialog with you. Keep up the educational vids
Hello, i'm from Yakutia! We regularly used and use this slug, for hunting on a large animals. The slug it is very popular in our big country)). For a better penetration force, I can advise you, to screw in a hollow nose, a solid screw or bolt. The penetration force increases, but the bullet is practically not fragmented)) Good luck)) Sorry for my english))
I love watching your videos. Keep them coming. They remind me of my youth back in New Jersey. New Jersey is still gun country, as it was in the 70`s and 80`s in my young life. . I used to shoot hand loaded slugs prone. I would garbage pick refrigerators and washing machines to shoot at. Even 69 caliber round ball, black powder behind. Keep it up guys.
That slug is brutal and gave the table a beating. There has got to ways of getting similar slugs made or even making them yourself via some some ghetto moulding tricks or getting a local metal worker/moulder who can help make some slugs that don't cost the earth and can then be tested thoroughly with 12-24 slugs rather can cautiously firing 6 slugs and hoping every one of them is a good shot in a ballistic and camerawork aspect, even tho OG and Danny are good shots. Another great vid.
Got to start with this. Your videos are simple very easy to watch and get so much information. Question wonder if Winchester Federal ect ever watch these videos. I’d say definitely a market not researched here.
Jeff, you should do an ISS, an International Slug Showdown. What countries do the best overall slugs come from. Could be 4-5 scoring categories; accuracy, FPS, stability, penetration, expansion, etc. You can enter one slug from each country. What say you? Cheers! Chris.
I love these complicated rounds and seeing if they work! You don't even have to be a firearms enthusiast to enjoy the anticipation.
My 2 favorite things you guys shoot are the wet magazines and the lead block.
Keep up the good work guys!
Don't sweat the ad's, you're channel is worth it. Glad to see you getting paid guy's.
Keep it up and thanks again
thanks!
I'm surprised you didn't take a mold of those slugs, Jeff....
BTW, let me take a moment to say that as much as we love the OG, every time
I see Danny as the guest shooter, it does my heart good. :-)
I just came out of the hospital from beating cancer for the 4th time. Good to still be above dirt. :-)
I don't have a machine shop or a plastic injection machine
I like how you show Danny's two missed shots at the end. So many channels edit out attempts that aren't perfect. Danny is an excellent shot, this just shows he's human.
Yeah, I like to show we are human. It was really hot out there and Danny did very well.
Tm13 IceBeam
Thanks. Just keeping it real 🙂. 🇺🇸😎
The magazines and steel bucket footage was really awesome, and your'e right, the Poleva's has a very flat trajectory compared to 12ga. Danny was just a bit high :) Good shooting Danny.
We just needed a larger target! lol It was SO hot out there that I'm surprised he got it that close!
Survival Russia
Thank you 👍🏻. I am a subscriber to your channel 😁. 🇺🇸😎
That was some amazing slow motion. If you look carefully at the ground on the long distance shot you can actually see the shockwave of the slug as it passes and picks up the dust. Great video as always though ☺👍
I've been watching this channel for years and don't recall ever getting an ad on mobile. Keep up the good work, TFM. Your work is timeless.
Great shooting *Danny.* Those had some recoil to them. I felt those over here on the east coast. Personally I like the "Dance of The Ballistics Gel" in slow motion.
Thanks for the videos guys. Much appreciated. *:)*
I love Jeff
In a manly way?
TAOFLEDERMAUS super manly lol
Edwin Sarkissian can you guys ever collaborate
FICRIFISHING we have . Look older videos . But we shall do something soon
Let's plan something Edwin!
Nice to see Greg taking a vacation, giving that finger some rest.
Yeah, I was just wondering why we haven't seen him of late.
He might be giving his finger a rest...lol
Holy hell, Danny’s shoulder must be sore. That’s a hell of a round. Would be good to see some slow mo in future of the shooter taking the force of a recoil.

thank you!
From Russia with slugs...
I’d like it but it’s at 100 likes even
Stunning and so much more. "Hats off" to Dead Eye Danny. Well done guys.
Danny is always shooting these Russian slugs... He always struck me as someone who like to take his time.... Get it?!.... I'll be here all week folks lol
Danny said two important things. The first is "Ouch" and the second one is "Impressive".
Jeff, You've been a favorite for quite some time. Always gives me a laugh. Keep up the top notch quality!
thank you!
Always nice to see a Taofledermaus notification in my inbox.
Welcome back Danny. You're still my favorite. 👍
Robert Huffman
Thanks Robert 👍🏻. 🇺🇸😎
Hope Greg and his wife have a great vacation.
And thanks for mentioning the add thing.
He should be back pretty soon.
It's really good to see you're still on TH-cam, this is one of the best channels. Keep up the good work.
thanks!
WHOA!!! those are SERIOUS!!!
Who tee who!!!!!!! 😁
That is sophisticated trajectory! Thank you again Gent's...
Will someone please start making knock offs of these Russian slugs. The Chinese do it everyday why can't we?
For this you need to to come in Russia, hysterical.
odzadze123
The maker died

@@SPAZTICCYTOPLASM it was true in the past, but since 2014 and 2016 we have 366TKM and 9.6/53 lancaster guns that you can buy with shotgun license.
You're not crazy Jeff great video y'all that slug is bad ass
Now that is a beastly slug! Got to say, the results are impressive. Imagine slinging those through some semiauto shotgun in rapid succession. That'd put a world of hurt on whatever is your target, and quite probably your shoulder as well. Let's hope these get more widespread!

That would put anyone from the world of hurt by the first hit )
Insane slug indeed! Accurate and awesome energy transfer! R.I.P Inventor
Danny goes low key with a “shocker” joke while discussing how many fingers. Sometime subtlety is just the ticket.
Ben Crane
😉😉👍🏻. 🇺🇸😎
What, Greg and his fingers are in Greece?! Lucky dog! Thanks Jeff & Danny, this Poleva slug is incredible. We need them here!
Hahaha Danny says, "That's a shocker there..."
Great video guys!
looks like that lead stem has a huge impact on energy transfer, love it!
@5:00 That Was Epically Spectacular!!
That Slug Turned The Gell Into A Jiggly Monster! 🐙
It really helps to have a good accurate shooter for testing ammo.
Makin' my day by gettin to see Danny boy blast some stuff!
I knew about the add thing - I disengage my add blocker before I log on youtube . . .
Oh, btw: great clip :-D
Damn, that recoil was insane! Hope you’re OK after that, Danny.
Great content as always, I’ll gladly watch a few ads for this. Keep it up, Jeff!
thanks!
TAOFLEDERMAUS cool video as always but its why I subscribe to you guys that slug would have home defense potential no over penetrating like a frangible slug 👌💪🐾🐺💕

TH-cam video speed modifier extensions are so much better than ad blockers.
I watch a 30 second ad in 7.5 seconds.
I know this is a old video but I love what you guys do, Danny needs a raise and should be the head of the swat team lol , he's the most gifted shot I've seen , shooting big caliber slugs takes a serious shooter. Keep up the good work guys here in South Georgia we appreciate you.
thanks Richard!
Glad to see Danny in these
DANNY!

Thank you for quality content. Very educational. Keep in measuring.

Thanks Jeff and Danny, awesome work yet again - and for the record I never ad block

As a mechanical engineer, these vids are VERY informative. As a combat engineer, I want to be there.
Thank you guys very much!

Blind in one eye and deaf in the other ? . . . You know things are buggered when you go deaf in one eye !!! Danny, Jeff keep up the good work champs, peace from down under.
The slow mo is Awesome!!
Man, those things pack a punch.
Right on sir! Awesome ammo!
Taofledermaus- now taking donations for Danny's shoulder replacement
Best ever!!! Thanks Richard, your cap now looking much better
Danny's a badass! I wouldn't want to be downrange of him.
'the shocker' lol immediately thought of 'the spocker, the rocker, the show stopper'
I must say, this was a juicy upload.
I have watched many of your vids and I think you are vastly improving the slo motion clips. I love to see what the thing looks like that is in the shell and how it flies through the air.

You guys do some cool stuff. Also it looked quite funny when the shotgun tries to jump out of Danny's hands :D The recoil i mean
Danny makin' it rain!
Awesome Slugs, screw ad blockers that hurt yours and many others channels. keep up the good work
If everyone used ad blockers then we wouldn't have to deal with any more annoying ads.
Lets be real honest here, Google/TH-cam screws creators. And have been doing so now for some time. The AD-Blocker red herring just don't fly.
Looks like a fantastic deer hunting slug, I wish someone would market those here.

Что такое слизень? Что и кто так назвал, американцы что ли?

Getting ready for when they bring back the Woollymamoth!
😁
Good golly Molly, what a gash. This slug is ideal nasty, it flies flat and true, with a powerful punch. Thanks Jeff and Danny, hey OG.
Miss Danny. Man he was a trooper shootn these bad boys. His accuracy was phenomenal.
Seismographs going off all over California every time Danny takes a shot with one of these brutes.
No wobbling. Endless sunshine. We got big long roads out here. I'm going to Texas.
11:04 you can clearly see the ground showing sum shock wave. fantastic stuff :)
Wow. The fingerbanging innuendo is strong with this video.
Great job! :)
Good shooting Danny. You should come to Iowa this December to hunt some Midwest whitetail.
I love Danny.
Good ol' Deadeye Danny...."Blind in one eye and deaf in the other". 🙂 - Ed
This slug is a must have

Another great vid.
Dang that's a good round.
Brilliant and fascinating as always !
thanks for always doing a variety....love me some TAOFLEDERMAUS
That's one bad ass round!!
Impressive slugs. Nice! Jorg Sprave quits from being a full time TH-camr too. So sad! I hope you can stay on track!
The O.G. visited my country? Awwh! I wish I'd run into him and give him props and send my hellos to ya!
Got to start with this.
Your videos are simple very easy to watch and get so much information.
Question wonder if Winchester Federal ect ever watch these videos.
I’d say definitely a market not researched here.
Great video as per quota, good job.
Cool vid, fellas. Danny I have that same shirt.
Just wow...wish we import them.
"Greg sized Thumb" lol Jeff You crack me up Man.
Got an ad! And yes, I didn't skip it. ;)
Great video, thanks.

Danny is a good shot. 50 yds with a bead sight is no joke
I want some of these!
