Great informative video , i wish there were more guys like you here in Australia there would be more younger guys getting back into the sport of pigeon keeping
Well said mate. Non of my kids kept up with pigeons. Australian pigeon people are leaving in droves. I read Brisbane cut down by half the number. Cheers
I think you have a very sound idea if what your "Ideal Roller" is and you have let those "ideals " be the factor that drives your Selection for further stock, nice job for sure in my opinion
Hey brother. I'm (relatively) young guy looking to get started with pidgeons. How many birds do I need to get started? Do they need to be from different families? Do I need to get new blood into the family eventually? Thank you
When you’re done breeding a bird, does it go back into your kit to fly or do you just breed it throughout its life? Also, some people stock straight from the nest. Do you buy into that theory? Or it’s never a guarantee and that you have to fly the squabs to actually know if it’s a good bird. Just some questions I want to know and probably others also. Thanks. Awesome video and insights!
When I started to develop my family I did breed from kit birds and put them back in the kit with their baby’s the ones to prove them self flying next to their kids were pulled back in to become permanent breeders to never fly again. Ive never stocked from the nest in the last 8 years till last season I need to birds that were made to become breeders and at this point I feel like I can stock certain birds from the nest but it’s something I don’t do I like to fly in all my birds.
HiDef Pigeons Nice. I just wanted to hear from your experience what it was like and how it went. Glad I got to know a bit and appreciate you sharing it with me. Best of luck in 2020! 🙏🏼

@@hidefpigeons9111 I watched your videos today very informative, I may be interested in a pair of your birds, I currently have some white homing pidgins, but I always loved the spinners, let me know thanks again.
There are 5 hens I bred to my foundation cock to build my family then I used 2 of the original hens that bred back to the sons of the foundation cock. I would consider them the foundation hens but because I haven’t bred a lot towards their side as much as I would like to I haven’t chosen which one of the hens will be the foundation of the future.

Good information. But always remember to pick from the air. And keep there body type small to medium.
Great information thank u love those birds
Very nice birds.
Do a video on meds/nutrition/vitamin you give your birds for them to stay healthy.
Soon I will I didn’t think anyone cared about that side of the birds.
the one tail is from a strong back like racing homers that is balance the fan tail is a weakness and a bird needs strong vents .great video

Hey Donnie!!
Nice birds
Yes loft 👍👍👍👍👍🕊🕊🕊
Do you sell any birds
HiDef, you missed a crucial point, wich your birds are consistant in; EXPRESSION.
The 1st thing you see.
I left a few thing out unintentionally maybe I’ll have to do a part 2 and finish explaining the few things I missed. Thanks for feed back bro!!!🙏
It's his video not yours
why do you not paint your lofts..
I’ve never liked paint on the kit boxes I like the natural wood look maybe when I get a indoor loft I’ll paint it barn red.
Nice and good explainisation
Hey you know Richard? Would you mind talking with me on the phone sometime soon? Thanks
You selling any birds

👍👍✌️🕊️
You can only identify a good Birmingham Roller by looking up in the air bro.
There is a lot more to it than just a bird rolling. Tell that to a guy that race horse or fights roosters they will laugh at you lol
Have you ever had a bird that spun so it would have blood in their eyes
The tail doesn't rise
You’re wrong about that bud the tail goes into a up position creating the ball a effect when a bird goes into the roll. Thanks for watching.
@@hidefpigeons9111 from wind the head goes back

@@hidefpigeons9111 yes the tail doesn't rise the neck goes back it's a muscle spasm people think the tale rise but it doesn't
