I learned so much in this video. I'm going to try out your method. I've raised rollers all my life but never thought of producing kits. I appreciate your knowledge and time.
This was an excellent explanation of how you create breeders vs kit birds. Thanks for sharing your expertise as always Smitty. I learn allot from you Sir.
First I want to thank you for sharing good and important information about this Hobby. Entering my 5th year since I left back in the 8th grade But Honestly, I would not count those early years at all. Cause I knew nothing about the NBRC or the World Cup. LoL. But weeks ago you visited Richard Apodaca. Another True Humble Man that is open to share his experiences that he learned thru the years. This upcoming Breeding Season and method I will be trying will be his own. Nobody helped him. Said it himself. Trial and Error. Would not have learned about this method without Pigeon Evolution. Be Safe and Stay Cool Smitty. Thx, Jeff L. Bad Habit Rollers
I like the way you explain things. I'm really interested in the groose legged birds. Do you have a video on how to produce that. I know I'll have to start with at least one but two will be better. Any info on split groose leg ect would be great pls
Love your videos man. You make great content. I wanted to ask if by any chance you were selling some rollers? If you are id be interested in purchasing a few.
.... /Hello Sam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have loved these Birminghams for 60 years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I still don't have my loft done ....... Ugh !!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my experience; the cock contributes the velocity but the hen also needs to have heat in her. If The other way around, majority of velocity from the hen more than the cock it won’t transfer to the babies as much as cock being dominant with the velocity. One thing smithy said tho, that I still need to experiment is my method that works for me on someone else’s family. I’ve never done that before.
I was recently watching your videos and i found lot of information, but I'm little confuse about white bar, ... what should I do with the offspring after pair opal with blue bar hen, .. ??
Hey Sam I am starting new with pigeons and I would love to have a pair of them white bars from you if you can sale me a pair I would really appreciate it
smitty: i had a dove and parrots for years when I was young. now i'n in an apt. do you think I can have a pigeon as an indoor pet? your recommendation? thanks, cp.
what you should be doing is breeding birds that are your "Ideal "in a roller, rather than using :Physical Compensation" to the degree you are pushing !
It would be nice if you would comment on what aspects make a fine rolling roller. Also, considering that an offspring is made up of 50% genes from totally random proportions from each parent, how can you make these claims, thank you.
Hi There, i am not of the same opinion as yourself about hens influencing "Type" all you are doing is in "stockmen's" terms using "Correct Matting" You would be far better off focusing on your "Ideal Roller" in terms of size and length, rather than keeping very large birds being hens or cocks and the matting of two different size specimums. Its genetics that dictate their genotype witch is seen it their phenotype.
I see you still are not convaying the proper info about Type. Type is a term that represents the Ideal for a preforming Roller ! So Smitty, let's get informed shall we !
You have no clue about what you are talking about, I have 35 years of this. You have fireballs breeding with others. Tails down are so much better birds. I’ll teach you.

So size of a pigeon will determine the velocity of roll?
In my experience; the cock contributes the velocity but the hen also needs to have heat in her. Great video guys im working on moving when I do im coming for speed can I get it from you
What up Smitty Watching your channel. RXR Loft.
You are a genius 👍👍👍👍👍
Questions.. How many rounds do you let a pair go for n when do you start breeding? A video be nice but whatever good 👍
seems like many of your birds are long in tail ! Also, how do you determine if a bird is long or short in body ?
Does that work with homers?
I was recently watching your videos and i found lot of information, but I'm little confuse about white bar, ... what should I do with the offspring after pair opal with blue bar hen, .. ??
Great insights!!

carmine petracca not the best idea
How much roller pegeon
Not in rollers at this time crossed into them later
if you believe in Mendel's three laws of inheritance, how can you claim hens dictate Type ?
Can I crossbreed a tumbler pigeons with rollers and still focus on making a roller pigeon family?
You should focus on rollers to make your roller family.
NO!!!!!
Bad bad idea
Similar to crossing a thoroughbred with a donkey. Anything good going to come for that?
@@ksoonsoon thanks I now understand. Does colour influence the roll?
👍👍👍
