I always love a good word challenge. It keeps me on my toes and makes me take a look at my own verbage for a moment. So I googled "Definition Gig" and I came up with several versions. First off, the word has several meanings, but when looking only at the music reference I found a few takes on it. Some, do in fact place emphasis on the show being a "Live One"...but I also found several instances where Gig was defigned to mean any job or booking. So it will stick "Studio Gig" is correct. BzB
No...thats cool...I hope you dont think I got mad...I do really enjoy a good word hunt once in a while. Sometimes we use words because it is what we know or what we think we know...it is good to have someone get you to look something up once in a while...it keeps your speach real. BzB :-)
Well W4lkm4n...it just depends on what you are doing in the studio. The electronics can save a lot of time and head aches...but acustics are still favored by many people...especially in Rock and Roll. Thanks for stopping in and watching the vids. I appreciate the comments. BzB :-)
Thanks once again Letori...I really appreciate the feedback. Everyone that writes in Kicks ass as far as I am concerned...I use the feedback to determine what I should do next and what I should stay away from. BzB :-)
Oh Yes W4alkm4n...electronics are a lot of fun and give you great flexability...but do not get rid of your Yamaha Acustic. Keep them in good shape. My Pearl kit sits in cases most of the time...but I really love to play them and sometimes bands that I play in require me to play them...you have seen that in some of my vids. Bottom line...all drums are fun. BzB :-)
Look for someome that keeps a solid meter no matter what they are doing...all the flash is nice but the show is determined by how solid it is...you need a human metronome. BzB :-)

Studio Gig? Don't you mean Studio Recording?
Oh ok. It wasn't meant sarcastically I was just wondering.
