Awesome, well detailed box opening and great video showing the crawling capabilities! Well done! I know this video is over a year old but these are still selling strong at $65 on BG. I grabbed a CR18 and it's on the way. Looks like it's going to be fun to add to the ever-growing collection! Thanks!
Happy New Year full of RC fun to you!!! Nice video, makes me think about "The Grand Tour" when they went to Colombia with a Fiat Panda 4x4, a Jeep Wrangler and a monster truck... the answer about what's better is always: it depends!
Great video. I loved the ending! Did you swap the tires from the 18 onto the 24? The thumbnail for this video looks like they’ve been swapped. I’ve got a 24 and was thinking of getting some 18 tires for it. Interested to know how it drives like that. Cheers
Hi Chris! Yeah, fun little ones. And Thanks! Yeah, still videos. Not sure how many though 🙂 But I enjoy making them. Part of the hobby. Hope you and your family are enjoying 2020 so far 🙂
Fantastic Comparison Info ,Fantastic Comparison Trail to, both done Really Really Well, the Blue One Had the Edge but both fantastic little Rigs👍 Awesome video, Have a great new year my good friend 👍😁👍
Thank you so much, Tony! Yeah, awesome tiny ones. Great fun. Thanks again my friend and I hope you and your loved ones has had a great 2020 so far. Best wishes and happy new year from over here 🙂
Does size matter ? Who cares. How you use it is all that matters 😄😄😄. I absolutely love my CR24, and the CR18 looks like a good RC too. I really like it's colour and body lights. Good video Mikael. The picture quality is excellent 😊👍👍
Holly Hill RC Ha ha, when out in the woods tire size/wheel base certainly matter. Not sure in other situations 😅 Thank you,Derek. I just saw your new thumb nail with that special HobbyPlus CR-24. Looking forward watching! Yeah, which quality was nice? (Indoors/outdoors?) Testing my new GoPro outdoors. Think it did alright on a very cloudy day.
Hi Mikael. Could you tell me if the rear body posts are the same size on the CR-18 and CR-24 please. I've just ordered the CR-18 Convoy Pickup because I found it with a £30 discount. I want to get the LC80 Toyota body and the Scout body for it too. But I need longer body posts for the back and I can only find CR-24 ones. I already have a spare set of those and because both the CR-18 and CR-24 rear posts have 16 holes (not including the body clip hole) I was hoping they're the same. They look like they are on this video but because of the scale difference I'm unsure. I can't find CR-18 body posts listed anywhere. Thank you my friend 😊👍
Hi Derek! Yeah, both the short one (4 holes) and the long one (16 holes) are the same on both the black CR-24 and the Rushmore CR-18. Quick and rough measurements about 190 mm and 550 mm. Everything looks identical, also the width and the body mount attachments for the chassis.
That's a hard choice. Everyone has their nitch. I'm learning 1:10 trail/crawlers and building is where I like to be. Under that is to small. Over that is to big. 1:5? Well that's just insane! =)
I just got my cr-18 and actually found a kit version which for me was totally awesome. 139.99. I spent a little more bc of course the first two things I purchased was a good servo and a fast Eddys bearing set right off the bat.
That really is another topic - as it is another model, another brand and 2-3 times as expensive as the CR-24. This was a comparison of the CR-24 and CR-18. Quite similar, except for the size.

Hi Mark! Yeah, these ones are still among my favorites :-) Gear ratio is just right. - although I by now have broken several drive shafts.
👍The CR-18 looks like a fun size crawler to own!
Yeah, it’s a fun size. Definitely a little more capable than the 1/24, though the 1/24 is a fun size too 😀
BOTH ARE AWESOME!!!
I think so too 😊
@@NordicRC yup

Hi Jim. Maybe it could work. Both cars in this video are stock though. Perhaps it’s the camera perspective that plays a trick.
And cheers! Thank you for watching bro
Nice crawling with those little rigs bro! Hope you and your family had a great New Year's day 🎉 Glad to see you making videos still 😊👍

@@NordicRC The quality was good indoors and outdoors my friend 😊👍
Buen tutorial amigo🕹️🚙♥️
Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪✌🏼🕹️
Thank you for watching, Fred. Greetings from Scandinavia.
Do you think these crawlers could handle 3s lipos?
Brad Kalman No, and I do not think they need more power/juice/wheel speed. But they could need a little bigger motor for some torque at low speed.
Hey is the 1/18 scale truck based after the International Scout that's on the Gen 8? The body and color seems the same.
Brad Kalman Hi Brad. Maybe? Not sure but they look alike yes.
You think the 1/18 scale one is faster than the 1/24 scale 1?
Brad Kalman Yeah, definitely. Not great for crawling, but for a trail run in the forest it’s quite nice it can go a little faster sometimes.
@@NordicRC Is the parts same: Motor, gearbox, axles, servos? Mine 1/24 has definately slower steering that this black one.

@@NordicRC Perfect ! Many thanks my good friend. That's very kind and helpful. I will go ahead and place my order for the bodies now. Exciting ! 😀
Great run!!
Thanks a lot, Brian!
Both are awesome,cool video.
Thanks, Duke! Yeah, my thoughts exactely!
Mine 14 days till I get package, good show thanks
Thanks! Hope you will have fun with it.

I love the 1/10 too, but it’s quite fun and different with these small ones 🙂
Weird, cr18 has smaller rims and less chunky tire tread...possibly even skinnier tires... 1:26
Hi! I think the wheels are identical for the the 18 and 24
@@NordicRC 1:26
@@NordicRC are you planning to get the 100t motor and steel driveshafts for this?
I hope you had a good New Year.
Thanks, Brad. I had. I hope you had a great new year too, my friend.
Hi can it fit bigger dimension battery on the 1/18?
Hi John. Not sure. Don't think it needs one.
@@NordicRC ok thanks.
Woww... spettacolare... ciao dall'Italia
Thank you, bro!
Awesome 👍
Thanks, bro!
Oh nice vid💙💙
Thank you, Fims!
Cr24 or axial deadbolt
What I think is best? From videos/reviews I’ve seen the Axial is a much more smooth crawler.
Thanks for the reply
👍necessary to buy them both love it. 🤗
Yeah, I like them both too 🙂
So neeeeeeed..... love it both :)
Thanks a lot for watching! I have a lot of fun with both for sure 🙂

@@NordicRC it was.. I'm very happy with my kit, it's the Rushmore version.
@@NordicRC 139.99 for the kit 25.00 for the bearings and 40.00 for the hitech titanium servo. Not too bad
Nice looking rigs and great comparison. I've heard that size really matters 😂
Thanks, Charlie! Ha ha, maybe it does 😅☺️
👍
🙂
remember there is a fb page which covers both these models.
Nice! I’m so seldom on Facebook though.
Where's the 1/16 love? Good in between. I have 1/24 & 1/10 . 1/24 not enough 1/10 to easy.
Got s couple of 1/16 and 1/12. All fun 🙂
No size don't matter because my SCX24 can crawl with the best of them

CR18 seems better
Yeah, I agree, mainly just because of the size/wheel base though. For it’s size (and price) the CR-24 does good too.
It's rolling over and playing dead.lol
Brad Kalman Ha ja, yeah, cute little puppy 😂
