I love them. I used them the entire month I was in LA. The drivers are much more conscientious than they are here in NYC, so I felt safe riding them in the street. I did notice that many were broken - usually the brakes (activists have been cutting the brake lines). I also notice that in LA, most people ride with both feet side-by-side which has the be the lease stable way to ride.

These are motorised, if it can go fast enough to break a limb when you fall or code with a pedestrian, I'd love to see you try to stop it with your foot.

Has any young person ever heard of "Walking to where you need to go"? Or at least a pedal powered bicycle. Windmill options are insanely primitive and weak. The initial cost plus the perpetual maintenance vs power output far outweighs any "Value savings".

Most of the bird racks are in Santa Monica and other beach cities where parking is impossible and often you have to walk several miles to get where you are going.
