HI LOUIS your videos are very helpful keep going my man, I'm all the way from across the world 🌎 I watch your content all the time good job, when I come back to UK 🇬🇧 we should definitely meet your a legend 👍
Great content man, i found this very interesting. It would be nice if you could make a video with detailed explanation on cloning, programming, renewing etc. What is what and which method is used in which cases. Why to choose one method over the other one, benefits or drawbacks on methods and so on. I did a bit of reaserch on it but info available is scattered around and in pieces so one good info at one place would be appreciated. Thank you for your work.
Good to see that finally remote renew is done! I was scared that Autel can't do it (I renewed most in everyday job). Waiting for next tests - I think about xp400 + adapter as a spare chip programmer
Oi Luis . In the first 6 months of owning the IM I made a bunch of mistakes . The adapter set is a must have but as you showed in the video they are a tight fit and they do break . I know . But overall after one and a half year I am still happy that I went with Autel .
If you have time - maybe you will test this set for: 1. Read EWS3 with adapter and MCU directly and compare two files 2. Test Autel PC application for XP400 3. Read EWS2 MCU directly Regards from Poland!
Don't have any of those modules here... I think... The PC application, I have tried it... but never used it... I will might plan something for that... 👍👍👍
LUIS, AWESOME information thanks for doing this really is an eye opener what IM608 can do with right knowledge and information I am interested to buy this tool can IM608 pull the key\ immobilizer code to program new keys to the vehicle because am interested to add key programing to my business and thanks for what u do by showing it brother. cheeers

I have a question. Im a TOTAL beginner in auto-electronics repair and like to watch your channel. I was doing some work on my E46 and was testing the fuel pump electronics (Bosch VP44 diesel pump) and shorted some wires inside the module with my multimeter (im an idiot)... The electrical fan powered on and my dashboard showed some error lights, with the coolant temp gauge shooting straight up, fuel pump does not prime. When I unplugged the pump, the car didnt show these errors. When I plug in the pump the errors appear. My question is simple. How likely is it that I burned something other (DME, ECU?) than my fuel pump computer? Very likely or not likely at all?
hey mate I have apb104 which has Saab mcc chip soldered to it but. It has male connection underneath. So pins. Not female black connection blocks to push down into the xp400 pro. Any ideas how to read the chip....?
I would suggest poor contact somewhere... Clean the pins of solder, and make sure pins are free of burned flux to ensure a good electrical connection...
@@LMAutoRepairs na mate you miss understand me. The board APB104 does not have two black connectors underneath in an L shape which pushes down into the im608 pro. It has pins. Pins facing down on all four sides. So those pins go into another device of some kind. What does apb104 connect in to so the data can get to the tablet
Ah... got you... sorry about that... I believe those are so you connect straight to the pins on the XP400... Autel should instruct and show the pin outs is it supports that particular chip...

hi there just wondering how did you get the machine to come with remote (at 11.01) i got my im608 back in nov 2021 downloaded all update until my subscription ran out and i noticed also you are running on version 3.10 i am currently running on version 3.62 obviously now out of subscription did i do something wrong cheers andy
Hi Are you in Europe? Perhaps the software differs depending on location... just a guess... I have just kept the updates up to date... that's all... My subscription is know expired as well... can't really say what's the latest... Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Hi Louis very impressive vids. can you recommend a semi pro diagnostic kit? In particular i've got a Cit C4 hdi with start probs & Bmw which needs a DPS reset ( I believe these have in built mileage trigger, to replace, of around 150k miles although nothing is wrong with DPS) thanks- keep going with the tutorials! tony
There is plenty of lower range tools capable of that... I can't recommend anything as I never used them, but something like the Delphi should do it... Thank you for watching!
I have a IM508 but I havent used it yet for AKL. Do I need to buy a professional scanner for diagnosis now? Or is the IM508 have enought diagnosis? What diagnosis scanner would I need to buy?
I can't speak for the 508... even though I would say they will be very look alike on the diagnose side... The IM608, on diagnosis is the same as the MS908P... obviously I haven't tested everything, but looks more than enough as a diagnostics machine... Hope that helps... Thank you for watching!
@@LMAutoRepairs Thanks so much for the quick response. I am just putting my van together to start my business. I have the 3 Xhorse cutting machines I have the Im508 and the Key Tool Max atm. The IM608 does BMW not problem... I did a few already... Not sure the 508... I have never focused too much into the locksmith side of things... For diagnostics, get a good multimeter and a scope... Since you have the 508, I think you can get the scope module from Autel for it... Not that you will need it a the time, but definitely a must have (a scope) if you are getting into this field...
