Ok update since I filmed this video: I freaking LOVE this bag but the interior is really narrow. I have to tetris my shit to fit all of my basics so keep that in mind if you're interested in this size.

Travel is where I spend my money too, just not during Covid. I'll be fully vaccinated in a few days and am SO excited to go to New York this summer for a friend's wedding. I can't even remember what it's like to actually take a vacation.

First of all, congratulations!! To answer your question, I definitely understand people’s attraction to designer bags. I have two (I went the second hand route for both) and I have a running wishlist of about 5 total. I’m not totally into the idea of having a closet full of them and becoming a collector. However, I totally love the idea of buying a new one to celebrate a moment in your life (like a promotion or having a new baby etc). I hope you enjoy your stay at the Ritz!! Congrats again!

State of Kait it’s funny because I feel like I see a lot of people who purchase their first bag always go one size too large because they want to be able to use the bag everyday and in every situation but then end up wishing they went smaller! But you’ll get the hang of it hopefully! I go through phases of having a ginormous bag and then just using a small clutch. It’s amazing how much I don’t actually need to be carrying with me (:

It's SO pretty. I ended up returning this because the interior was too small and barely fit my items. If I could justify buying a size up I know I'd love it.

Thanks for this though im watching this a year later. Like the fact that we have a lot in common. Agree with choosing between Prada and Gucci. Am a hardcore Prada fan due to the classic sporty and clean designs. I was hesitating to spend this Gucci one but I did! No regrets, quite versatile. But seriously, any kind of bag works to put all my stuff in it.
I actually ended up returning this! I left that note in the comments section. It was just too small for me, but if I had purchased the bigger bag it would've been fine

I bought a Chanel bag once after much much deliberating and it’s been sitting in the box under my table ever since cause the weirdness of spending that much on one bag got to me! Meeehhhhhhhhhhh I have to LOVE it. I have NO qualms having something that cost a buttload if I’m in love with all of it. If I had listed the negatives in the way you did, as minuscule as they seem (the heart, the narrow inside), I’d return it and wait for the most perfect one to come along.
I’m with you on the plastered branding too, keep it understated! I don’t need to advertise for them. So with that, a bag that is perfect and I love it I would be using that bad boy for everything! Every day is a special occasion!

For that much money you can absolutely still get a designer bag that will check all your boxes! I’m at that point where if I don’t even want to keep a lipstick that doesn’t check all my boxes, why would I go out of my way for something that also costs a boatload?
If it does what you need it to do for the occasions you need it for then great, but if not, I say use the cash for something that will!

I just bought a brand new small flap (Black leather, silver aria) and it was smaller than I expected too. I thought it was a mini by mistake at first. The bag photographs a lot larger than it is 😂

I have a designer bag obsession. It started slow and then it snowballed 😬 I was hooked after my first mini/small LV bag $580AUD at the time (pochette accessoires). I think the price has tripled or quadrupled since 2015. Prior to 2015 I never liked designer brands (but shortly after I become obsessed I created a line item in my budget for luxury bags and goods 🤣🤦♀️). I had always thought they were way overpriced and a bunch of hype. With the continued price increases, they are arguably very overpriced. BUT you pay for the heritage and craftsmanship. These bags are so well made and with a bit of care will last a very long time. So, cost per wear might not be that high after several years ☺️I ❤️ chanel and LV. Was never much into Gucci although I had a super mini of your bag at one point. I sold it but now I want the mini version which is one size below your "small" in the dusty pink colour (I already have several black bags) I do like the design of the Marmont.

Congratulations babe, you deserve it and I hope it will serve you well ! I always thought that the prices of designer goods (basically all of them, from bags to clothes to sunnies) are really crazy and that even if the quality is faultless (which it better be, right?) what you end up paying for is the name, the branding, the logo. It says to yourself and to the world that you are in a position to afford such luxuries. So, my thinking is that if you can afford it comfortably, good ! You have worked hard, been appreciated and rewarded accordingly and yes, absolutely, treat yourself ! But, if it's something you can't really afford, buy on credit and the like, I think it isn't worth it one bit. Going broke to treat yourself isn't a good investment nor a good idea. Personnally, I could never afford such a bag, and that's ok. I have a beautiful leather tote that I bought of a creator on Etsy years ago for around 150$ and I love it, it's functionnal, the quality is stunning, it is aging extremely well and I'll have it for years to come. All that said, I am truly happy for you and send love from Belgium ❤

And imagine that cost per wear, it would be through the roof 😂 Have you ever heard of Polene Paris or Atelier Auguste ? Both companies design and craft exceptionnal bags for basically a fifth of the price of the Gucci...and I'm pretty sure the quality is on par, honestly. Both ship to the US, plus, you'd be supporting much smaller, independant brands. Just an idea, I'm saying that because the Cabas tote from Polene is my dream bag, and I've seen them in their flagship store in Paris, they are truly uniquely beautiful. Love the content, as alw

Hi Kait, I’m new here! I actually just bought this bag a few days ago! I don’t usually buy designer bags. I only have one other bag.
I’m having huge buyers remorse. I was YouTubing videos about this bag, and came across your page. There were other videos but most of them were of women who have tons of designer bags, which I cannot relate to. I’m thinking of returning it as well.
I mainly got it to wear it cross body, but I like the fact you can wear it different ways. I saw a lot of other reviews saying that wearing crossbody can deform the shape of the bag and the flap can get pointy. I’m thinking of retiring it to get the camera bag as it is better priced and seems like a great cross body. Not sure. Any advice on why you returned it and your thoughts?
I returned it because the interior was too small and didn’t fit all of my items! I ultimately didn’t feel it was worth the price

So that may be my deciding factor. I think it’s a beautiful bag but I cant justify the price for the size and the functionality. But I still love it. Ugh.
