Neuroscience is basically consistently confirming rational egoism as the basis of ethics and consciousness as the key to finally making true strides regarding almost all major philosophical issues to date.

JK-Z has made an interpretation of what is going on when someone (not himself) is in a FMRI scanner and asked to just be there without participating in thinking, right. And he claims that the Default Mode Network goes ‘insane’ with activity which he says is about ‘me’. To interpret it in this way is not a neuoscientific fact, only an assumption. All the scanning images show Is increased blood flow in particular regions of the brain structure, nothing else. Make whatever you like about it, but it is guessing, and it may be largely inaccurate. JK-Z Is basically giving information about it that accords with his views about using certain meditation techniques to move attention away from the DFN. The DFN may be indicating a state of holistic consciousness. Perhaps, it is mystifying to understand what the blood flow increase actually means. Another researcher says it is the end of blah-blah-blah, so his interpretation differs from JK-Z regarding the meaning of the DFN.
