I met him backstage at FACTS in Belgium. This guy is awesome!! and so nice in person!!! We talked for a while and he really took the time :) Unforgettable experience. RDA is the best!!

His real life persona and sense of humor is pretty much identical to Jack O'Neil's.
I want to thank you so much for posting this video. I am the second audience question and it meant a lot to be able to show a high quality version of this event with my family. One of my best friends in the world sent this to me and I showed it to my brother and some other family.

He has been in Toronto this month and signed my painting that I made of him. It was nice to get a compliment about the painting from him! He is a pretty humble and nice guy. Would love to meet him again some day.
He is naturally funny, I think he brought a humorous edge to Stargate by not following his lines.

After more than 2 decades i am so glad to see Richard looking good and and still involved in charity just as i would have imagined him to be. I still see in him part of my childhood idol macgyver 😊

I first saw stargate atlantis, loved it and bought the entire collection on DVD...then saw SG1 and bought that entire collection. It beats everything they put out there now in TV land.

@@reerjgiorge His skin isn't all wrinkled up unlike some actors who did too much alcohol and drugs. Plus you can see he is moving quite well for a guy that old which means he's been living a good lifestyle. I doubt you'll look and move as good when you get to 70.
When he did his stunts he got a lot of injuries. You can see he’s hurtin. I just love his personality his sense of humor is fantastic. But he looks wonderful. Love him💕

I commented on a video today from 2017 how he has lost a ton of weight since 2014, he was quite the size. Just seen this video now and he has lost even more. I really hope that can only mean one thing which that there IS a new show coming as he stated a long time ago if he was to return he would have to lose quite a bit of weight
I think if you're a human with chronic pain (knees, back) you don't make a mistake voluntarily loosing weight. Poor Ricky😕

I know what he meant about having dialogue and adventures with imaginary people. I did that as a kid. I also had siblings and real friends, but sometimes I'd take off on my bike or just play about in the backyard in a whole different world.

that could be the family guy mcgyver bit, brian goes to stewie's room and says something about their phone being broken and asks stewie to fix it, stewie says something about how he should just buy a new one since todays technology is so solid state it's basically useless when it breaks, mcgyver would just be a regular guy, he wouldn't be able to use any of his tricks, then richard dean anderson comes up and beats stewie and brian bloody with an iPad, says something like "....works for me", opens the closet door and walks through an active stargate. it could even be a "right to repair" commentary. I can do this all day Seth, hit me up

Why don''t they make great scifi like stargate but super gory like a horror rated 18, R or whatever, it would be so awesome.

He said the year before that he was going to lose weight, and he did.
It was SAD to see him SO overweight, but I've heard that he has some health issues that either caused it or contributed to it.
Which apparently is also why he "retired" from acting. Which is VERY sad.
His Net Worth is about $20 million, so no matter what people say or think about him, I'm sure he's crying all the way to the bank.
I hated him on McGuyver, and the show itself.
One of these days I'll go back and re-enjoy Stargate SG-1.

But he's über-wealthy now (supposedly 'only' worth $20 million, but it's probably MUCH higher than that), and has been for MANY years, so why work?
I'm surprised he's even doing cons, although he must get off on the adulation and "hero worship" and all that, which is probably pretty addicting.
Not too long ago he said in an interview that he quit Stargate and acting in general to be with his daughter. She's in college now and if the right project comes along he would go back to acting.

No. I finally found out that he had some health problems and a really bad back and wanted to spend time with his family and he's basically just too rich to care anymore. (and he's OLD now) But he still likes the love and adoration and standing ovations of his fans, so he makes occasionally appearances. Plus you can never have too much money.
Is it possible that he is developing Parkinson's? Or he's just terribly nervous because he is not used to the crowd and attention anymore? He is scratching himself everywhere and feels quite uncomfortable in his shirt, he wants to pull it away from his body many times and we can see his sweet belly. :)

And at the end he decided to hide behind his chair to feel more comfortable but still had the nervous movements.
It looks like some kind of neurogical problem but I really hope that I am wrong because he is a great and positive person and he should be healthy and live forever. :)
He looks good here. One video he was over weight with messy long hair and seemed a little loose. The one question I would have for him is has he ever met Kurt Russell?

multiple injuries and broken knees from both macgyver and sg1 ALONG with several surgeries over the years as well on top of that being 68!!!! I mean seriously? you think with all that medication and hell on the body, you're still going to look like a sex symbol? Shut the f*yuck up and move on. the man is lucky to be alive, to have a sense of humor and to still continue to do this.
Oh and by the eat he dropped 60lbs. he looks great.
