@@bryonkidder6199 NASCAR isn't what made them household names. Those companies didn't get too big for NASCAR, they just realized that there's very little return for their investment these days. They have access to all kinds of data analytics and advertising can be done a lot more efficiently. Spending $25 million a year to put some decals on a race car is just wasting money these days.

Chase Briscoe fan here. It wasn't just the really bad pit stop. He lost positions on EVERY pit stop at Bristol. His stops were consistently 1-2 seconds slower than the drivers he was racing around. I know a move like this is rough. But honestly, I'm glad they did something.

I completely understand your money argument for Herbst to 23XI, however Herbst is in the exact same scenario as Wallace is with Reddick. He is scraping by condending for a win here and there while his team mate wins the regular season championship. We are talking Xfinity too, the field, especially this year, is not very stacked. If 23XI takes Herbst money, I fear they are settling for an SHR style performance with 1 guy contending for the championship and carrying everything on his shoulders while everyone else flounders. Look how well it's worked out for SHR...

Herbst and Brandon Jones have such similar career stats its kinda crazy. Both went xfinity full time after never doing trucks full time. Both took until their fourth season to get their first win, which happened with four races to go in the season for both of them. Then they looked like they figured it out after that and their next wins werent seen as much as a surprise.

Thinking back to the '90's when the likes of Goodwrench, Kodak, Tide, Miller Brewing, Budweiser, Skoal, Kodiak, etc, etc., were the primary sponsors for every single race over multiple consecutive seasons. All huge recognizable national brands. Now? Most of the field is sponsored by brands I've never even heard of. Yeah, NASCAR has a major branding problem for sure.

NASCAR is too expensive, far less popular with way more entertainment options including a much wider variety of motorsport that people had no clue even existed back then, and in my opinion too many races 26-28 would be perfect especially if Xfinity or whatever it's gonna be called and the Trucks get their own standalone weekends.

Herbst will be in the 51 next yr with more support from rfk. With rfk landing kroger sponsorship rwr is the only place open for Herbst in cup .I thought rfk with kroger would land Haley easily as their 3rd driver but again the HMS money train ran someone over .I don't see 2311 expanding now with the charter fight with nascar and I don't think Herbst even with Monster backing is good enough for 2311 to sign him to a 3rd car even if monster bought the charter.
Legacy m.c needs to switch crew chiefs and teams to at least get something positive going or hire entire crews from stewart hass. You know toyota isn't happy and lmc is supposed to be a tier one team. If they don't get some help soon they may be a 3rd tier team. Even though the 21 is basically a penske team i'd like to see them move some people around even bring in Berry sooner if possible. It kills me to see the 21 and 43 floundering around . The 21 ran great with Blaney and the 43 ran great under Mike Beam's control. I wish one of them could have landed Rodney Childers but again hms money brought Rodney to spire..

Also he and Erik did great things together in '22. It perplexes me how much legacy is struggling given that everyone else who switched to Toyota from another manufacturer got better (furniture row, Leavine family) maybe legacy is playing the longer game instead of spending themselves into bankruptcy for quick success.

Im not a denny fan by any means but i think either denny signed a one year deal with either FedEx or gibbs before the 2024 season or maybe it was FedEx signing a one year deal with denny or Gibbs. Either way if denny is smart which im sure he is he would buy one of the available charter thats available and keep it for himself in case if he has to drive for his own team. To be fair nascar admitted that they kept some charters in case if theirs a new manufacturer joining the sport so thats probably why the amount of cars in the field went from 43 drivers to 40 and now 38 or less so maybe thats why Herbst said that hes not confident about next season because of that. Maybe im thinking to much into it but it kinda makes sense

It's so surprising that they are putting the coke 600, the longest race of the year, on streaming.

As the pitcrew is as important as ever to the team's success, Nascar needs to have "trade deadline" that comes into play approximately 5 races or so before the end of the regular season in regards to the over-the-wall crew. There will need to be exceptions for injuries, bad behavior, etc., of course, but there needs to be a greater aspect of unity and integrity of team. I would even venture as far as to say that, since many of these guys are over-the-wall crew only, they need to be treated as position players, like in baseball. Maybe it's time for a crew draft? We already have the AA, AAA, and Major League structure for many of these teams with their Truck and Xfinity alliances. Could help make some of these crew guys develop more notoriety and give a new dynamic to the sport.
