A perfect slice of 1990. I had the Sonic Flashers helicopter, it had 8 sounds and it was neat. You could also push two or more of the buttons together and it would make really weird noises! NEW YORK CITY!?!! Can't really get more classic than that.
man ya never see those classic pace picante commercials anymore and fall of 1990 the days of the Disney afternoon especially talespin the coolest show ever
Wow. Talk about nostalgic. I lived in Nevada City California until I was 18 (finally got out) and I remember lucky was the main grocery store my parents shopped at. Raleys was another store we used to go to alot. Damn that was a long time ago.
This collection of 90's commercials, especially from Southern California, is wonderful & not made in New York City lol! TMNT, Pizza Hut, The Wherehouse (RIP), & Lucky were part of my childhood growing up in SoCal & I cherish the memories I fondly remember! :) Lastly, Raquel Welch looked good in that Holiday Spa commercial, & I bet she looks good today.
I remember Christmas of 1990, I got the Turtles movie with the Pizza Hut coupons, plus the port of the arcade game for the NES, which came with a coupon as well. I certainly was swimming in Pizza Hut coupons that Christmas, and I remember going there for lunch during the Christmas break.
I had that tape of TMNT and I wore it out from watching it so much. I also vividly remember the Pizza Hut commercial with the kid and the baseball at the start of the tape. Funny, that Domino's was featured in the movie itself and yet I feel like Pizza Hut got more play on the VHS release. I also remember Pizza Hut selling or giving away single episode tapes of the cartoon.
I like that Pace Picante commercial and I still remember it, but when he says New York City?" didn't the original version say ' "get a rope!" or was that a different Pace Picante commercial?
The Wherehouse-loved that store IHOP-i dont think any of those pancakes arent on the menu anymore(at least not at the IHOPs in my area) :( Pace Picante Sauce-Those cowboys in the movie probably came out of the screen and shot the guy who had the NYC sauce Fox News promo-there was a Jetsons cereal? Tiger GameTalk-guess he was supposed to be Solid Snake in his younger days Red Lobster-Ernie Anderson's narration made this sound like a promo for a "Deadliest Catch"-type show at first Fox News at 10-that first story couldve made for a good primetime soap TurboGrafx 16-favorite games were Bon's Adventure,Splatterhouse and Forgotten Worlds
The Jetsons cereal was made by Ralston, who made a lot of cereals back then based on Movie/TV properties (and most of them were not very good) www.mrbreakfast.com/cereal_list_by_company.asp?id=4&mode=2 I think my favorite TG-16 game is The Legendary Axe but I still need to play through more of the library. So many great shooters on that system.
I saw "The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones" on the same station ever since it aired. Very nice to see this commercial break from 1990!
Always wanted to know how people in New York City felt about those Pace commercials lol ! " New York City!!??"
Toys R Us, RIP my homie.
Toys R Us didn't die, it just said FU to the United States. It lives on strong in Canada. 👍
No because Bonnie was has afraid bunny that damn cuz

osc83 fellow southern californian here! What part of So Cal are/were you from?
Sorry for the late reply. Around that time, I was living around Santa Maria from the mid-80s to the early 90s.
osc83 I grew up in Phoenix AZ so they were pretty similar but damn I miss The Wherehouse.
osc83 around the southern central border!

For me it was getting McDonald’s coupon books when I got good grades from my grandma lol.
Crossovers are the ultimate tribute to collective fandoms as commercials are to their decades

blackdragon6 I rocked with that neon DR. I was the talk of apartments for like 3 days. Best 3 days ever.
lol
2:40: a cheesy parody of the logo for what was then 20th Century Fox, now 20th Century *Studios*.
The news headlines really aren't much different from the ones of today.
Tr0nzoid good point!
That Domino Rally (and other Domino Rally commercials) music always reminded me of SNES MegaMan X music
that really chaps my hide
Didn’t know IHOP was THAT old.
It was started in 1958: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IHOP
7:14 - 7:43 The Best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie Of All Time.

What's his name from The Young Turks talking about the Jetsons cereal. haha.
Sonic Flashers? That sound like something lewd the modern Sonic the Hedgehog fan base would cook up, like on deviantart or something.
