I don’t think Buffalo is done adding WR talent. They get 9 million cap space on June 1st for cutting ties with Tre White.
Brandon Beane already said most of that has to be allotted to signing the new draftees. They might have 1-2 mil left over after that.

As a Steelers fan, I rooted for Claypool. Then what the hell happened to him? I've never seen a WR with his physical gifts play so soft. Terrible blocker, too. He's a player that I just don't get.

Chris, all you guys keep forgetting Justin Shorter taken in the 5th round last year. He is the second WR everyone was thinking the Bills should take this year. Shorter is a physical specimen and has had a year to learn ropes while on IR. He's got a much greater chance of sticking than Claypool.

Chase is a solid depth add with lots of upside.
Bills replaced an aging and angry diggs and a dissapointing Gabe Davis. With Coleman, Samuel, claypool, Shakir and bolstered up their run game and line. Add their solid tight end play and James cook, and you have a really dynamic, balanced offense with Josh Allen.

Low risk high reward here. Regardless of what he does he could blow up this season especially with Josh Allen throwing him the ball and earn him a big contract next season. If I’m the Bills and he did have a big season I’d let him walk or maybe try to get something for him. Whatever it’s a win win for both sides as long as the old Claypool could comeback. If not he won’t make the roster past preseason.
Claypool knows its do or die, if he wants a job in the NFL , this is his time to prove he's still got it , otherwise its over for him, so I see him doin his best to make all the doubters eat their words 🙏

Miami was a bad stop for him competing with Waddle and Hill for targets was too much for him to overcome. If he can come up with 50 catches in Buffalo, I'm going to be happy.
#14 is NOT Stefon Diggs' number. Long before Diggs had 14, Frank Reich and Fitzmagic wore it -- two players INFINITELY more beloved in Buffalo than a guy who -- for the second straight team -- wants no part of a team that was very good to him.
1.) Mapletron chose his own jersey, the Bills didn’t choose it for him…and so far, he’s picked a different jersey # on each team he’s been on…and; 2.) He’s most likely not making the team so who cares

I like Chase Claypool, but there is something that occurred with this guy. He started out as an amazing Receiver.
BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED.
His dependability factor fell off the charts.
Maybe it's because the Steelers QB retired, I don't know. But I do know, his stats fell off considerably and his big catch moments came far between.
Even many of his easy catches were coming up short on dependable receptions.
Claypool has lost his mojo.
If you lose your mojo who the heck is gunna sign you and pay you top wages if you don't put up the BIG CATCH stats.
It's like Odell Beckham. Why would you pay him top billing when he isn't the Beckham from YEAR 1 to YEAR 3 as a Giant. Those stats stopped, his dependability stopped. But everybody is lamenting on his Allstar Legacy Moments, not the fact that he is Going Through the Motion Beckham.
Same thing for Claypool. He's not putting up those STATS that he use to put up. So stop putting him into the Allstar range. He ain't a diamond in the rough. He's just a turd in tall grass trying like hell to find a spot.

Bills season ticket holder… I haven’t been this disappointed in the team since Josh arrived. I hope to be utterly wrong but fielding a bottom 25% receiving corps with Allen at helm is a travesty. Beane has mismanaged this roster more than helped it over his time. He gets too much credit due to the Allen pick working out. He’s wasted a ton of capital on pass rush and had to sign Miller anyways… which is a move that probably closed Bill’s SB window too soon in retrospect. Elam massive flop first round. No double dip at receiver this year with historic depth. He has refused to give up some defensive capability to build elite offense around Allen… and chasing the elusive perfect balance has lead to him never fully feeding the offense. Ffs you paid Josh a quarter Bill for a reason, know your strength and build around it. You’ll never stop Mahomes anyways, so outscore him since you have like one of maybe two guys who actually can go toe to toe in shootout, when given some players to work with. If you had, we probably have a ring by now.

@@SunniMerlot That’s o.k and do you know why? The days are definitely closing for the 100 catch, 1200 yard, 15-20 million a year wide out. They are sexy to watch but are not a good value, especially the ones that can’t play a full 17 (Check out GB this year). The NFL has done a quiet collude job on the RB position and they are in the process of doing the same to the wide outs. But they’ve created a monster with overpaying quarterbacks. You’re better off fielding 3 or 4 number two’s and flooding the secondary.
