Lance is a complete unknown made almost no starts for other teams. For themselves they see him everyday maybe they like him. Not leverage but maybe a Dak replacement
In this clip, they show he hasn't played at all. I guess not playing means you suck. One of his few games he played he won a must needed win versus the Texans a team that beat Justin Herbert the week before to contribute the 49ers getting into the playoffs that year.
@@erickflores6978 Yes but the Charger's are so unreliable. I pick them to win a game they should win easy and they lose. I pick them to lose and they win. If you want a guaranteed win in a NFL pick 'ems game just do the opposite of what my pick is for them😂
I know everyone hates Dak. I'm no Cowboys fan, but the dude just finished second in an MVP voting. He did it with one great reciever and a good TE, a mediocre line and a bad running game. Hes one of the best QBs in the NFL. If they want to win a SB, they need more than Dak or any QB, they need an ownership group that wants to win a SB, not make all the money. That team has a horrible interior Dline, no linebackers, no running backs, questionable recievers outside of CD. On top of that they have a very unimaginative offense completely reliant on him. All that being said, Dak brought this all on him self by sucking in that playoff game. As they said the odds of a guy whos thrown 500 passes since HS being anywhere near as good as an mvp quality QB are next to none. Dak is going to get his 40 or 50m with Dallas or someone else. I dont agree that he stays with Dallas, because of the side benefits, hes going to be worth 500million by the time hes done with football, why is he worried about being an announcer? It just depends who wants him, if the right coach and organization wants him, he would leave.
The Super Bowl or Suck mentality will shuffle too often to get anywhere. Dak's winning Division titles and takes Cowboys into the playoffs quite often. We need more playmakers than just Dak. Some are getting ripe for a great year. Like CeeDee, Diggs, Ferguson. No run game this year, like last year, without swapping Trey Lance for one. Then the fans blame it on Dak.
“Trey will never throw the ball like Dak.” Ummm Dak didn’t arrive with a great motion. Raw, coming into the league, Trey was more impressive throwing the ball. This “motion” talk is mostly bullshito INSIDER talk. Self awareness is way more important.
I don’t think Trey Lance is a bust like how everyone assumes him to be! I think he’s more of an unknown player since he has so few starts that you can’t really assume what he is off a small sample size! People who assume make an ass of themselves
If we base the criteria realistically, and how it should be, based off of which of these 2 actually knows more about football and can educate and inform us better, Simms should be the one talking all the time. Not Florio. Obviously. Segments like this just highlight how much more knowledgeable Simms is with X’s and O’s over Florio. But yet here we are having to watch and listen to Florio blabbing on and on everyday pretending he can hold a candle to Simms in football insight
Not just drafting Lance but then once they drafted him, benching him and trading him. To me that’s the bigger mistake. Teams miss on QBs all the time, but we don’t even know if Trey Lance is a bust because he’s barely even played.
@@jameshayden3952 They’re both Lord of losers. I have no idea why people talk about Tony Romo like he won 3 superbowls. Tony and Dak have played on Super Bowl talent teams and never once made it to an NFC East Championship game. For the past 2 seasons the Cowboys have had enough talent to go to the NFC Championship game but the QB couldn’t get them there.
As a 49ers fan, it’s a real shame that no one has given Trey Lance a real shot to be a starting QB. I don’t know if he will be good or not, but it would be nice to see someone fully commit to him as the starter for one season so we could at least see if he can play or not.
The niners messed up badly, giving up 3 first round picks for Lance. He barely played in college and was at a small school. 3rd string now on 2 teams is not looking good. On the bright side, he is a multimillionaire for doing nothing.
Yeah, they made a mistake. Good organizations move on from their mistakes. Poor organizations adopt the good organizations' mistakes. The Cowboys draft excellent players, but they are a poorly run organization. I don't care about how many regular season games they have one. They don't win the regular season games versus the team that matter. And the playoffs have been a disaster.
They didn’t mess up, they just missed on a pick. They’re actually doing great. They’re the only team favorite led in every game this year, and just played in the Super Bowl. They haven’t skipped a beat.
Here comes people in the comments who think an employment contract is a stock. An employment contract is a compensation agreement for FUTURE SERVICES!!!!!
Kinda feel bad for Trey Lance. The pandemic thwarted his opportunities in college and then injuries wrecked him in the pros. I still have no idea if he will ever be more than a backup (which is still not a terrible job to have because the pay is still better than trying to sell insurance). But it would be nice if he did emerge at some point and lived up to some of that initial potential.
Anyone who's thinking Lance is going to replace Dak is insane. Jerry screwed this thing up again, and nobody is admitting it. Dak signed a 4 year contract for 160 mil, and is going into year 4 with a 110 mil cap hit still hanging. That means over the last 3 years, Jerry only took a 50 mil hit to the cap. Last year, they had no running game, and for this coming season, they not only got rid of a now healthy looking Pollard but are bringing back Elliot. WTH would they do that? Jerry has butchered the cap so badly that they won't be right until 26. Jerry has been selling this kool-aid to people for going on 30 years and has made billions. Keep supporting him if you like.
Not a big Chris Simms fans since he blew that Big 12 championship game for Texas but one thing Simms does know is quarterbacking. I think he has been nice. Don’t think Lance is an NFL quarterback. Not just the throwing motion but he cannot read defenses. Plus he is not a runner like Lamar Jackson. Lance should have transferred in college to a pass happy offense. Lance may play in the UFL or the Canadian football league.
The problem is Trey hasn't proven he worthy of being an elite starter in the league and the biggest issue with Dak is he is a good regular season QB but isn't a great playoff QB and the biggest issue is facing the cowboys is Jerry Jones is such a control freak for how this team should be constructed and how it should look to him I feel personally regardless of who your QB is or HC Jerry is the reason why this team will never exceed their own expectations
I’ll take my Chances with Lance, at least he won’t cost me $60 million for the same ceiling every year. Plus if it doesn’t work out. I’ll have a minimum top 10 pick maybe even top 5 and $60 million in cap space and I can add pieces to my team.
The Cowboys probably can’t sign all 3 of their superstars, so who’s the odd man out? All 3 are young and talented, but I’d rank them #1 Parsons, #2 Dak, #3 Lamb.
Could he land into a Bucs like situation (Baker Mayfield) or Steelers (Russell Wilson but that is complicated by the presence of Fields)? He shouldn't sign a back up deal with the Cowboys. He needs to go someplace with a decent team that will allow him to start (of course those situations are few and far between and he hasn't demonstrated anything to make a team trust him as even a Tier 3 or 4 starter).
Picking the team you play for has got to be the dumbest most ignorant sports take I’ve ever heard. It would be the exact same teams winning the Super Bowl every year.
First of all Trey Lance got drafted too early in the NFL, why I say that because he only played for like 1 year in college as a starting quarterback if he would have went to another program like Alabama or Mississippi State or a college like Notre Dame and played for at least all the way to 2023 Maybe things would have been more different for him as a starting quarterback in the NFL
On the open market, Dak would surely fetch a pretty penny, BUT if he fails again in the playoffs during this upcoming '24 season, I would have absolutely zero confidence that he will ever get it done. No matter if he stays in Dallas or signs with a new squad for 2025 & beyond
Lance is not good he was just over drsfted. The guy can't throw accurstely and his athleticism is overated. He was athletic at a lower division not like he played at Alabama or Geirgia.
Lance could push Dak to perform better. Lance might replace him. If so, Cooper Rush is cheap enough to keep as the back up. If the re-sign Dak and Trey leaves and they get a comp pick.
James: You are living in a dream world. He is inconsistent and that’s a fact. That doesn’t make me a hater or a trash talker it’s simply the truth. I don’t put all of it on him at all but when you make what he does then he has to perform better. The interceptions against the Packers were inexcusable. Coaching and offensive plan could certainly improve but passes like the ones I’m referring to are his to own. BTW, he does own it and is a true pro. I hope it all improves for him. He certainly puts in the work.
None of these QBs except Mahomes are worth $50 million a year. These QB salaries are stupid. I don’t think Trey is any good but I’d take Trey Lance starting at $5 million a year over Dak getting probably almost $60 million a year.

@@ErikDayne fair or not, the 49ers used 3 first round picks on Trey Lance and he SUCKED. We were sold on a bill of goods and he isn't nearly good enough. Huge draft bust. Maybe the biggest of all time. Why are you confused by the hate? lol clown
Whenever Suit Florio starts comparing anything to the Vikings, he might as well put on a tin foil hat 😂😂😂
Usually, but in this case he's kind of right. If Lance was on the Vikings last year he would have seen play. How many QB's did Minnesota start last year 3? 4?
I think Trey Lance is a bust and they traded a 4th round pick for a bust and you can't use a player that can't play as leverage against a player that can.
Ash Trey Lance isn’t even as good as Carson Wentz.
And when Trey lights it up in the preseason, I’ll be laughing at this poorly aged hater comment. 😂🤣
Laugh all u want buddy, but the cowboys don't know wtf they're doing, and they wasted a valuable draft pick on a bust
@@geoffweaver8075 Ehh it was a 4rth.. would've been a somewhat gamble pick anyway, although I do think it should've been a 5th instead.
anyone know why the latest episode of PFT Live wasn't upped to Peacock today?!?!?
Lance is a complete unknown made almost no starts for other teams. For themselves they see him everyday maybe they like him. Not leverage but maybe a Dak replacement
I love getting bullshit information. 49ers last year said they had better offers, but thought the cowboys were giving him a better a chance to play.
They never said they had better offers. Dallas was the best offer
At no point did the 49ers said they had better offers. WTF are you talking about. Dallas was THE BEST offer available.
Trey LapDance needs one more chance to prove he’s a viable starter
is trey lance that bad? has he really ever given a chance to play?
This is what I was thinking....
Yes he sucks.
In this clip, they show he hasn't played at all. I guess not playing means you suck. One of his few games he played he won a must needed win versus the Texans a team that beat Justin Herbert the week before to contribute the 49ers getting into the playoffs that year.
Kapernick ready.
@@erickflores6978 Yes but the Charger's are so unreliable. I pick them to win a game they should win easy and they lose. I pick them to lose and they win. If you want a guaranteed win in a NFL pick 'ems game just do the opposite of what my pick is for them😂
Trey Lance will NOT replace Dak Prescott
Surprised Jerry didn't trade down to get a QB at Mr. Irrelevant since 49ers rule his mind.
@@TheFlutecart Who do the Cowboys have a D tackle? Seems they are going to get destroyed up the middle. Like they have for about 2 decads.
Well said, I'm a steelers fan, and I feel since 1997 Jerry only cares about money
That sounds like the perfect job!
1)You get to officially be on an NFL team.
2)Get paid 6 figures to be on stand by and enjoy the game.
SIGN ME UP!!!!
“Trey will never throw the ball like Dak.” Ummm Dak didn’t arrive with a great motion. Raw, coming into the league, Trey was more impressive throwing the ball.
This “motion” talk is mostly bullshito INSIDER talk. Self awareness is way more important.
😂😂😂😂😂 I'm pretty damn sure Tony Romo was saying the exact same thing about Dak !
Dak doesn't play for $? Well donate your game checks to ME!
Las Vegas is on my mind for Dak
I don’t think Trey Lance is a bust like how everyone assumes him to be! I think he’s more of an unknown player since he has so few starts that you can’t really assume what he is off a small sample size! People who assume make an ass of themselves
Lance problems are not just on the field. He will become a free agent with minimal interest.
Treys hair is trying to leverage away from his head
How is this on TH-cam before peacock?
TH-cam > peacock
If we base the criteria realistically, and how it should be, based off of which of these 2 actually knows more about football and can educate and inform us better, Simms should be the one talking all the time. Not Florio. Obviously. Segments like this just highlight how much more knowledgeable Simms is with X’s and O’s over Florio. But yet here we are having to watch and listen to Florio blabbing on and on everyday pretending he can hold a candle to Simms in football insight
As a 49ers fan, I still think Lance will get a starting role someday. Too much potential
As a 49er fan I don't. There are new guys every year with more physical talent and experience. E.g. Michael Penix and everyone else drafted this year.
With Trey Lance arm talent he don’t need prefect throwing motion. They still haven’t fixed mahomes throwing motion 3 Super Bowls later.
😂😂😂
@@Zarbon000 ok no football context
I'm sure the Raiders would take Dak if the Cowboys don't want him. It's early, but next year's draft doesn't look like a 6QB kind of class.
McCarthy had a first ballot hall of fame qb Rogers for almost two decades and won one championship.
Nobody hates Lance more than Simms
Think he realized the players a bust.
Lance is a BUST
Lance is a huge bust
How Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch did not get fired after drafting Lance is beyond understanding.
Because they found Purdy for free 1 year later.
@MoLiEG89 I thought it was the same draft.
If Kyle Shanahan don't win superbowl or nfc championship games 49ers fired him
Not just drafting Lance but then once they drafted him, benching him and trading him. To me that’s the bigger mistake. Teams miss on QBs all the time, but we don’t even know if Trey Lance is a bust because he’s barely even played.
@@MoLiEG89oh yeah Brock Purdy and his 6 TDs in 6 career playoff games, that’s just fantastic
The biggest threat to Dak is Dak.
Nope. The biggest threat to Dak AND the Cowboys is Jerry Jones.
Just like Romo, Dak will be a Lord of no Rings.
Kyle never said that. You’ve been in these comments for years spouting lies like that. Post the source where Kyle ever said that.
They didn’t mess up, they just missed on a pick. They’re actually doing great. They’re the only team favorite led in every game this year, and just played in the Super Bowl. They haven’t skipped a beat.
I am glad Jimmy Johnson is advising the Dallas Cowboys to start Trey Lance next year and not extend Dak's contract
The crazier thing at this point in Trey lances career the longer he doesn’t play the worse he gets👀👀👀
Trey Lance's has a non- negotiable contract 😅😅😅
Here comes people in the comments who think an employment contract is a stock. An employment contract is a compensation agreement for FUTURE SERVICES!!!!!
Wrong. NFL backends tons of money, even after playing days are over.
@@jameshayden3952 what grade did you get in contract law?
Pay Dak "only" $48 million until they beat the 49ers. lol
Then they have a better chance of getting more/better players around him.
They could have outbed the seahawks with a third round pick to get sam hall , he would have been leverage.
Florio finds a way to relate every single story to something that happened with the Vikings once upon a time. There’s like 12 other people who care.
You seem to be one of them.
@@powerboon2k Not sure where you got that from. No one cares about the Vikings.
11 + you.
Trey is a 3rd string qb the only thing you can leverage with him is unemployment benefits in the future
Yawn 🥱
The fact that anybody would debate this is laughable. Trey is a nonfactor.
@@MR.ROBOTVOLTRON Mr Robot was a good show
I love Chris 🌲
If his throwing motion was soooo bad wtf 9ers draft him for yo boy Shanahan simms wtf the guru
Every QB except T-Law in that draft was a bust use your brain before you comment
9ers thought they could fix him. They couldn't and found a better QB(Purdy) so they traded him away. Easy
Shannahan isn’t a genuius, he’s a choke artist
Every seems to forget he had a huge hand in pissing away a Super Bowl
@@youngf.l.y.1467 t law a bust too. Stop it. Trey has the best record outta all those qbs. 2-2 as a starter
2:50 you could easily say this same thing about Dak. Trey just got in the league compared to 4.
As someone that thinks Jerry Jones is a cheapskate, I’m interested to see what he does with the QBs situation.
There’s value in being Anything associated with the Cowboys 😁⭐️⭐️
Wait, didn’t they already pay Dak last season?!
I’ll take my Chances with Lance, at least he won’t cost me $60 million for the same ceiling every year. Plus if it doesn’t work out. I’ll have a minimum top 10 pick maybe even top 5 and $60 million in cap space and I can add pieces to my team.
Yep!
That's how I'd go. Dak already made incredible fortune off Jerry.
The Cowboys probably can’t sign all 3 of their superstars, so who’s the odd man out?
All 3 are young and talented, but I’d rank them #1 Parsons, #2 Dak, #3 Lamb.
I saw the title and my immediate thought was “cuz he sucks”
Could he land into a Bucs like situation (Baker Mayfield) or Steelers (Russell Wilson but that is complicated by the presence of Fields)? He shouldn't sign a back up deal with the Cowboys. He needs to go someplace with a decent team that will allow him to start (of course those situations are few and far between and he hasn't demonstrated anything to make a team trust him as even a Tier 3 or 4 starter).
Ill save you 15 minutes. The cowboys cant leverage Trey Lance in the Dak negotiations because Trey Lance isnt a good qb.
crazy that fields went to steelers for a 6th round pick when dallas gave a 4th for lance.
Yeah Mike…just need reps.
At this point what do the cowboys have to lose. Prescott hasn't done anything.
Picking the team you play for has got to be the dumbest most ignorant sports take I’ve ever heard. It would be the exact same teams winning the Super Bowl every year.
It already is, KC. 🤣😂
Yeah, florio is a tool
Not if you change teams every year!
Texans SWARM GO TEXANS
You guys are looking great! Ima Packers fan.. who you think goes further this coming season?
First of all Trey Lance got drafted too early in the NFL, why I say that because he only played for like 1 year in college as a starting quarterback if he would have went to another program like Alabama or Mississippi State or a college like Notre Dame and played for at least all the way to 2023 Maybe things would have been more different for him as a starting quarterback in the NFL
Trey Lance is plan b, in case Dak refuses to sign a reasonable extension. Someone has to play qb.
Cooper Rush.
@@JoMan757 Cooper Rush is plan C.
Dak is playing chess with the cowboys; "check" 😮
they should have traded for Fields, signed him to a much smaller contract, and used that money for other players that they would pay Prescott.
On the open market, Dak would surely fetch a pretty penny, BUT if he fails again in the playoffs during this upcoming '24 season, I would have absolutely zero confidence that he will ever get it done. No matter if he stays in Dallas or signs with a new squad for 2025 & beyond
Trey essentially got millions to do nothing.
Go Trey!!!
Cowboys are going to play Lance in the preseason and trade him for a pick or a RB. Nothing else makes sense, but then again, Jerry does what he does.
Trey Lance? 😂I would walk away from any negotiation they bring up Trey Lance. 😊
Lol 😆 just get up from the table and walk 🚶♀️ out the room 😂
Lance is not good he was just over drsfted. The guy can't throw accurstely and his athleticism is overated. He was athletic at a lower division not like he played at Alabama or Geirgia.
Thank you. 49ers saw all they needed.
Let Dak go. Have Lance Rush and draft a Quarterback and someone out of the 3 should be able to make a NFL starter.
Dak has been trying to prove himself ever since he got to Dallas. He’s done!!
The Cowboys are stuck with Dak. The owner is in his 80’s. The head coach is on the bubble. They don’t have time to start all over.
Toni Romo vs Dak contract negotiations?
Lance could push Dak to perform better. Lance might replace him. If so, Cooper Rush is cheap enough to keep as the back up. If the re-sign Dak and Trey leaves and they get a comp pick.
LOL
Ok
NOTHING wrong with a QB sitting and learning... Geez..
Cooper Rush should be starting, not that BUST Trey Lance
