What if there was a museum that contained every type of life form in the universe? This experience takes you on a tour through the possible forms alien life might take, from the eerily familiar to the utterly exotic, ranging from the inside of the Earth to the most hostile corners of the universe.
New research is upending our idea of life and where it could be hiding: not just on Earth-like planets, where beings could mimic what our planet has produced, but in far flung places like the hearts of dead stars and the rings of gas giant planets. Nowhere in the universe is off limits.
Only when we know what else is out there will we truly know ourselves. This thought experiment will give us a glimpse into what could be out there, how we might find it, and just how far nature’s imagination might stretch.

Colonizing the moon and mars, and eventually beyond that. We likely won't be alive to witness anything beyond mars, but if we are, it would be because of a space-race to colonize more land than other nations. So they would develop better technology for space travel to meet those demands.

I was introduced to your work from a friend back when "We are All Connected" and "Glorious Dawn" were just a few years old. Those two music videos helped reawaken my interest in science. The fact that you found a way to combine art and science so well is amazing. You've found a way to help people take in concepts that are usually hard to grasp, and begin to understand them. Because as crazy as this sounds, truth is that most education systems still desperately grasping in to a more than hundred years old model, which methods originally served the needs of the industrial revolution. To train a mass class of braindead work force who are absoluetly devoid of any kind of imagination or individual thinking. Some of our tools in learning might have became more "modern", but the methodics themselves are the same outdated crap as before.

That was amazing! I love some of the small details like the caption effects. I had to rewind to make sure I wasn't hallucinating lol. Super cool. Fine tuning the small details, that goes to show just how much passion and dedication goes into your work.
So much thought-provoking content. Imagine where humanity as a whole might be if we (and in particular those who are most 'successful') weren't always so busy fighting amongst ourselves... We could already be out there, with synthetic life of our own, exploring the universe far beyond our current capabilities.

Love the video. And I'm a bit disappointed by the comments. While I expected people to be discussing the quality of the video here and there, there's actually such an overwhelming amount. I wanted to read people's comments discussing the contents of the video more than its quality. But then again, there are 33k comments, maybe the ones I'm looking for are some of the oldest ones. I'll filter by that.

I saw this video the day it came out and am happily watching it again (for the fifth time) tonight. In an effort to keep her brain going strong and away from mind-numbing cableTV, I made my 90 year old grandmother a TH-cam account and subscribed to almost 90 different informative/educational channels (PBS, BBC, Kurzgesagt, MelodySheep, WendoverProductions, RealLifeLore, etc). I just showed her how to work it and handed her the remote. After a solid twenty minutes of scrolling through her "from your subscriptions" category, and without a word from me, the very first TH-cam video she chooses to watch is this one.
