Ima be dead honest, i truly loved this video. Like I truly do. this video is not just for game developers, but for everyone. I know this is gonna sound crazy since this was simply a Roblox video about game developers, but I’m going to remember this advice for possibly years to come. When I decide to enter a project i always stop playing games but specifically roblox games, and a way that I use is to use dopamine for development, I like to recieve nice reviews of my work so I always try to make better things

i love game developing especially in ma free time and if i got extra extra time i do commisions but i also got that social life yk so i gotta play games and spend time with my friends who either dont share a passion for deving, dont have enough time for deving, or they lack in skill. none of this never really bothered me but how can i balence this while also indulging in other things like exercise and school without being absolutely drenched in dopamine (keep it up guy its cool to hear some genuine advice)

I would say getting a solid workout or playing any sports for me personally helps me focus when i'm coding. I've been going at it every day 3 months straight and have improved rapidly. Thankfully I don't need tutorials and can code most things including, but no limited to, pet systems, inventory systems, trade systems, etc., It's been a great journey and I hope I can continue to improve I'm learning about metatables now and how to use them in scripts everything else has been easy but this is my first real challenge in a while for me difficulty wise. Also personally I've never felt like I've had the dopamine issue as when I got into coding it was fairly easy to stop gaming it took like a week, but I wasn't even trying to get rid of it I just started playing less and less after starting to code ngl.

Precisely, since you'll enjoy it more, you're more likely to stick with it, make more progress, etc. It will help you a lot with staying motivated and staying consistent.
