I have a question that I want ask humbly that what is the purpose of knowing rational and irrational numbers or why do we categorise number into rational and irrational ?
What about pi π as its irrational but thats equal to 22/7 its decimal form is non recurring so irrational but 22 and 7 are integers . Can you please explain? And what about 65/906? They are integers but decimal representation is non recurring
I know I'm late and only 7th grade but I think I got it It says in parentheses that the decimal form must terminate or repeat. For it to repeat it needs to have a pattern. 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993751 has no logical pattern and looks like someone keyboard-smashed the numbers, so it isn't repeating. Common sense says it isn't terminating. I think that not only does it need to be able to be written as a fraction of 2 integers, it needs to terminate or repeat as well. Not one or the other.
Watch the full video once without any interruptions,after the video finishes,try to summarise what u concluded from the video,after that,play the video again and side by side check that whatever u concluded was correct and see what you missed,play the video rapidly.this improves the concept.Also don’t think that you won’t be able to do it,because psychology is what makes us learn and not….hope this helps:)
