Great review. Actually made me buy the camera last year. I had those issues with the magnetic gopro style mount, too. The magnet is just too weak there. What I did was just get a small neodymium magnet and pop it on the back of the mount. Makes it much stronger and more secure. And I figured out that you can use the pendant on your shoulder to get a really nice perspective, as well as pick up your voice just super clear. I use this camera so much, simply because it's much more convenient than most other action cameras.

The phone app gets easier to use the more you use it and the update they did a couple of weeks ago, have made things faster then they were before.

Not interested in documenting rides but in grabbing license plates of jerk drivers. How well does it do that using the magnetic pendant? Does it have looping capability?

Insta360 Go 2 would make a great rear facing camera on the seat post. Battery life is the main drawback. I also guess you can’t use the camera and charge it at the same time either?

you can still film when the camera is in it's mount, so would need to mount the case on the seat post, which is still smaller than a gopro :p

@@CharlesOuimet thanks for the reply. I’ve just googled Go2 seat post mounts and seems there are powered mounts available. Cheers

Hey man, why u don't try the white mount with a elastic band, or a velcro.. gonna be easier to mount and unmount for charging and more secure.

Since I don't think there is anything out there specifically for this, do you have any idea if there is a streamcam or webcam that I could connect to the rear of my bike and connect it to my phone to see rear traffic as it comes from behind. I've got my phone locked on my bike and would love to just be able to look down to see what is coming from behind instead of those mirrors. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'd suggest you check out the Garmin Varia RT515 radar light, you can see on your bike computer the car coming from the back with a moving icon. Also sound alert everytime. I love mine

Bro I got the same camera and is insane what we can do with, water proof , good quality and nice buddles for different sports. Quick comment , I lost my first one in park Yamaska cause I thought will remain sticky to me under the water just with the magnet. Yes I know sooooo naive from me ;(

Good review… I’ve always thought their price point vs it’s functionality puts it at a disadvantage against its competitors… sure I get less bulk, but I also get less battery life… as well as it *not looking* as durable as a GoPro… there’s a sweet spot for this camera, price wise… I just have a hard time seeing it’s current price being it… 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @CharlesOuimet

Exactly, I feel 400 is quite a lot especially when the gopro9 is slightly more. If that camera was 250-300, it would be a no brainer!
