Very nice, i have a Citroen C1 2010 my biting point is almost half way up kinda annoying, can i adjust it sop i have it very far down to the floor instead? and how do i know if the clutch isnt slowly slipping or putting tention?

Yes you can, you just need to loosen the cable so you have more play. This will cause the biting point to be closer to the floor.
To be honest - your best bet is to feel the clutch operation. Does it slip whilst you are driving, do you experience a lack in acceleration after changing gears temporarily, do you struggle to get it into reverse?
Also, the mileage of your car. Normal clutch operation usually calls for a clutch replacement after 60,000-80,000 miles.
Also, run the car in neutral. Listen to the transmission, it should be silent. Press down on the clutch pedal fully. Do you hear a rattling noise? It might sound like a dodgy bearing.
This is a sign that your clutch throw bearing is wearing out. If the noise is faint and quiet, then it should be fine. If the noise is loud and squeaky, its probably an indication that your clutch plates and throw bearings need to be changed. These jobs are done together - when ordering a new clutch, it will come with a new bearing. It would be silly to replace just the throw bearing, as you might as well do the clutch plates or even the flywheel if the teeth are worn.
A low mileage car will probably just need the clutch cable adjusted. Your french car may have a hydraulic clutch, therefore the process for adjusting the cable may be different. If it is a cable, then do not worry, my video should be able to help.

Did you drop the transmission pan by any chance? Or did you unscrew any other bolts on the transmission?
What colour was the used fluid when you changed it?
I assume if it is a FWD car, it does not have a transmission pan, I know that for cars with "seperate" transmission, if you drop the pan completely, you can risk shifting the mechanisms inside the trans.
Some cars also have similar looking bolts on the bottom of the trans. If you undone these bolts by accident, they cause parts inside the trans to become loose and cannot be fixed by doing it back up again. Maybe this has happened, maybe not. I can only guess.
If the colour of the fluid was black, then maybe this is a sign of the condition of the trans. Transmission fluid should not "burn" unless the transmission itself has not been looked after.
I can only guess, and even if there was an issue with your transmission, it would only lead to a replacement.
You should check the joints and linkages first, the stuff that moves when you use the gear stick.
There are many parts of the linkage that wear away with time, that will cause dodgy shifting. Start simple and work your way through the stuff that is cheap to fix, that may solve your issue.

I've not dropped the pan just changed the transmission fluid only opened the transmission drain bolt only the fluid was not burnt changed the fluid with correct fluid and right amount since then had trouble with the gears I've since changed the 3 gear box linkages as damaged them trying to shift gear after the fluid change it makes no sense at all I've worked on cars all my life! since changing the linkages it has got better over time keeping the revs up when changing gear but still not right but drivable it's the oddest thing I've ever seen happen it just should not have happened just glad it was not a customers car 🤔💯👍

No problem Brian, I am returning to this channel to make more car and bike videos. I have plenty of work to do on my Honda, I want to do another service on the Daihatsu and I have a new car that needs an entire service, filter change and some sensors/electrics replacing

I have a 2010 audi a3 2.0. I just had a new clutch installed but find it heavy. Do you know if I can adjust my cable ? Any advice ?

I can only recommend inspecting the clutch cylinders for fluid levels. There should be a cylinder in your engine bay, a small plastic container with fluid inside. Check for colour, contaminents and level.
Colour should be yellow, no floating things and should be full.
You have a hydraulic clutch system, but I am unsure if it runs off the brake reservoir too or has its own seperate reservoir. You cannot simply adjust a hydraulic system as it kinda "auto" adjusts when the clutch wears away.
A heavy system may be because of low fluid levels or a leak in the system.

Hello i drive a suzuki baleno today i changed my car clutch cable installed a new one but after that i am facing difficulty in changing the gears for example- my car is standing at one place i tried to put it in 1st gear but it was hard like getting stuck or smothing and same thing happened with rest of 4 gears and even while putting it in Reverse it gets stuck.
Is the normal or this should not happen ?? And does changing clutch cable affects gears shifting ???
Also to add having a play in clutch padel is good thing or bad ?

It is good to have a little play in the clutch pedal. Only slightly. As the clutch is operated by a cable, for the clutch to be fully engaged, the cable needs to be not engaged, thus, needs to be slack, not under pressure. If the cable had no slack, the clutch would be ever so slightly disengaged, causing premature wear.
Your situation is strange - I can only think of maybe if you lubed your cable, some lube has managed to find its way onto the clutch plates?
Perhaps the sticking gears is due to the cable not being adjusted properly/fully. Perhaps you have too much slack in the cable, meaning when you press your clutch pedal all the way, your clutch is not going through a full range of motion, slightly still engaging despite the clutch pedal being right to the floor.
Too much slack, and you wont get any biting point on the clutch.

Dumb ahh you just need to tighten it if it is tight and clutch slippin then get a new clutch if you tighten it and it works then no new clutch needed
