  • The initial checkout of a Galaxy 16" oscillating stand fan model 4716. This fan was found out for the trash collection, and in this case, it looks like it was actually discarded for a reason other than being dirty. My speculation would be the fan tipped over at some point while it was turned on with oscillation engaged and caused the motor to partially stall and overheat. I suppose it's also possible that enough dust accumulated to restrict adequate air flow during normal operation, but I don't think it was quite there yet.

    What is trash to some may be treasure to others.
    Great video.

    Those Galaxy branded versions are getting somewhat uncommon since they don’t seem to be made anymore.
    By this point it was just this and the basic box fan that had the name, and I believe they were exclusive to Walmart.

    Good demonstration of this Galaxy pedestal fan, I hope you can get this thing running and save it , a replacement of the thermal fuse should be the solution perhaps . I would also try to by pass it to be sure if the power cord or switch was the problem. I enjoyed the video bro.

    Very nicely done initial checkout of this fan. I think they're pretty supreme fans, Especially since my dad had one and it worked very nice. I hope that you can get the thermal fuse fixed to get the fan running again. Anyway, Great video as always.

    The Blue plug is Still good? Worst idea Lasko had the non replaceable thermal fuse from the user...

  • @FSM_Reviews
    @FSM_Reviews ปีที่แล้ว

    The fuse in the plug primarily protects against shorting within the actual cord. Say, if the cord were to somehow have its insulation compromised and the two wires somehow cross each other.

    I junked a Lasko 18 inch 5 speed fan. I had it since 2020, but I junked it because the base would constantly lean over and it had much to be desired. Junked it a few weeks ago.
    I also Junked a 2017 Lasko Tower Fan, I took it apart to clean it but the base of it broke and hadn't been used since 2020.
    A 2014 Honeywell Quietset was junked as well because the motor burnt out and we ended up replacing the power cord after we painted it, that fan lasted a solid 8 years.
    I also had a galaxy box fan that I junked, the grill of it was broken and wouldn't stay on, and I don't think it worked.

      No they're not, they're exactly identical. There is no difference between this one and the Lasko equivalent.
