honestly, in squad and other games like this, i love it when younger kids take charge. even if they are shit, its still fun following orders from them. and usually the only kids still playing after a few hours are so zoomered out that they know what to do and are usually better than most.

Had a kid commander in squad lay a artillery bombardment on a super FOB than order everyone into logis and LAV and drive straight in the front door. 90% of our side died but we broke the FOB
Honestly I'd rather take orders from a kid, usually they're nicer than the adult commanders who get butthurt every time somebody goes against their specific orders

Austria-Hungary would probably fight 1000 times better, if its multilingual army had a organized communications that would allow even a dozen generals and field command to sit behind the lines and translate orders alone. For Germans its hard to say, as Germans were probably only army that had semi-decentish communications.

Verdun did that, and the bots are so good at not losing that it's still fun to play solo. it also means that people aren't discouraged from joining in since the server is technically populated and you have things to shoot at.
On the topic of playing as a child soldier, one of the unique French soldiers in the game was 15 when he enlisted so when you play him on a 1915 map you’re literally playing as a child soldier

As soon as I saw Bo go in the wrecked windmill with the mg, I just instantly roared in happiness at the ability to properly snipe in a map that size with decent or good verticality, something that reminds me of Star Wars battlefront 2 (ps2). Like on Yavin, Geonosis, Kamino, and Hoth. On Kamino I would always take or keep command post 0, sitting up on an outer ledge and sniping down to the far lower platforms, headshot the clones or droids in the turrets, and whoever I saw seem to be doing the most damage
