    Man, I was thinking of getting a PSK, but that “Micro-Canadian” is sexy!

    A really nice little range of knives here. You have a really sweet collection, and I am super jealous. I especially like that micro Canadian. I think that may be my first Bark River, although I think I'll try to get it in maybe CPM-3V if I can find one.

    The only knives I have which is as small as the last one you showed was made by Schrade and is a Old Timer1560T and the next knife is an Old Timer PHW which is much larger, but not as large as the regular bushcraft knives. Both are full tang and very sharp. I have several folding knives as well and will be checking out the Bark River brands and see which one I can afford to buy. I noticed that their hunting and bushcraft knives are much more expensive than the ones I own though upon looking at the distributor site.

    What is the small 2 sided strop that you have? I'd like to get my hands on one of those small ones!

    • @TheAmericanOutfitter
      @TheAmericanOutfitter  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good Day Luke Marie, the two sided strop I displayed in the video is called the Replacement Hone for the Complete Field Sharpening Kit (pack of 2) for $25.90 at Knives Ship Free. Another good choice is the Sharpshooter Fine Leather Hone for $18.99 at DLT Trading Company. I own both brands, but the pack of two seems to be a better deal. Thanks.

    Is a Bark River branding on the knife etched or printed? Durable or will I just rub off over time?

    Great video! What grit/micron compound would you recommend for general usage, or the one you use the most?

    • @TheAmericanOutfitter
      @TheAmericanOutfitter  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Birchwood Evergreen Hi, if the knife edge is really blunt, I may start with 600 or 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper before moving over to the emulsion treated strops. The CBN emulsions I use the most are 2000, 4000 and 8000 grits. To finish the edge, I may simply run it over a plain (untreated) leather strop. Respectfully

      Noah Hughes Hi, I’ve never seen theses knives in any brick and mortar stores. They are
      found at online specialty stores. DLT Trading Company, Knives Ship Free, The
      Knife Connection. They range between $104 - $190. All the best in your search
