Good morning, Jon. My best friend Steve B.(that you play golf w/there in Vegas) turned me on to your channel. Great review of the clubs. They look nice, but as a mid HC, I probably wouldn't play them ? I've bought the 2023 pxg 0211's, and I really like them ! Along w/gen 6 woods. Hopefully, when I get back out to Vegas for a visit, we can get a round in ? I've subscribed, and I'll look forward to seeing what's next. Bandons on my bucket list. What a beauty !
Thanks for watching and commenting Charles. You've got a great set up. I love my PXGs (2021 0211s)... but my game is getting better (you can talk to steve about that!) so I'm considering keeping these in the bag. The forged face is a massive difference. Driver review is coming soon!
I went to Europe to play golf and didn't want to take my own clubs so I bought the Callaway Edge 10-piece Golf Club Set at Costco for $500. Everything including the bag. I played about 15 times and failed to break 80 only twice, 80 and 82. Shot 76 at Carnoustie, Blue tees, and age 67. If you can golf you can golf. These irons are for someone who can break 90 at least. If you can't break 90 now, they won't help. The driver on the other hand is for anyone. I hit that driver yesterday all the way around. Just as far as anything out there for $600 and very straight even on misses. Anyone out there paying more is nuts and only fooling themselves.
Haven't played the Edge set, but this is a great testimonial that it could be the perfect second set. I'm looking at these as my second set. Live in Vegas and travel to Oregon. May keep the set in OR. Can't decide. More testing to be done!
Great video! I'm considering the PXG 0211 XCor2 irons. You mentioned having PXGs, too, How do you think the two compare. I'm mainly looking for more distance. I'm 46, but have 2 bad knees and a bad hip (hereditary arthritis) so I've lost clubhead/ball speed. Right now I hit my 7 iron around 150 - 155 with 95 - 103 mph ball speed. I'd like to get it back to 170. Maybe PXG is still the way to go? Thanks!
Hi Duke! Check out this video for a better comparison between PXG and Costco: th-cam.com/video/aB0XfMdGpXo/w-d-xo.html. Short answer is that the Kirklands are heavy and you're going to lose distance. I would go with the PXGs. Ask about the MMT shaft. I'm very happy with them.
@@IronsSharpenIronsGolf Checked out the video - yeah 15 yards is a big difference PXG vs Kirkland. I'm using Tour Edge C522 irons right now - which are stronger lofted - but the PXG's are even stronger lofted and made of better components I'm sure so I bet I would see a 10 yard gain. I'd be more than OK with that. Too bad there isn't a PXG retailer near me, but I can order them online and return in 30 days if they don't suit me I guess. Thanks for the info!
@@dukefan37923 I haven’t played the tour edges but, as I’m sure your know, stronger lofts are rampant. My guess is PXG would benefit your game. Those Costco heavy shafts are a killer for me.
@@IronsSharpenIronsGolf Thanks! The shafts in my Tour Edge are 102g and I do OK with them - but it can get labored later in the round. I've tried and 85g shaft and I felt I was too quick in the downswing with those - sometimes causing pulls, so the 95g in the PXG might just be the sweet spot. It's amazing the difference just a few grams can make in your tempo, etc.
@@dukefan37923 You could change the shafts in the costco clubs, but obviously it would defeat the purpose of getting them at $499. I'm considering it though. It might make for some good youtube content!
Id love to hit these. I just went from Taylormade to Srixon. And the workability is night and day different. I didn't watch the review.... what's the shaft in these.? My tailor-made's had s300 and my Srixon's have modus 120 stiff. And the modus fly way too high and kick too much.
@@IronsSharpenIronsGolf sold out everywhere in south Florida. Or I would buy and try. How about the driver? I crack a driver about every 3 months. Cracked 3 cobras just this spring. I need something low spin and cheap, as I am training for the champions long drive and hit a lot of balls.
@@send-golf it’s low spin and cheap if you can find it! Wasn’t a fit for me vs PXG Gen5 at the same price. Sounds weird but it flew straight! Rumor is Mizuno makes it.
Why would someone buy these for a markup? They don't get the benefit of returning them after a year and getting a full refund. For a grand I can pick up some P790s or T200s like new condition.
Ive been a callaway apex dude for years but bought a set of the K sig irons...i could not recommend any higher the K sigs....don't be put off by the make or price or logo on the back. Do yourself a favour buy them you wont regret it
@@dougiemcbriar1998 Great call. I love the apex irons. Tested various sets over the years but no budget to buy them. The Kirklands have not let me down since I started playing them full time. No regrets here!
@@alarmservicepros im really sad how golf equipment has gone. this is not a players iron homie. im not trynna sound like a dick or anything but come on…we know what players irons are. im sure these are fine though
what do you consider "a player"? I'm a 4.3 currently and find them as good or better than anything on the market. The guy I played with the other day just got them and shot 71 (-1) at Strawberry Farms in Irvine California, a super long and tight course. He was ripping the 4 iron 230 all day long off the tee. He hit his driver 2 times all day.@@xofyllib
#1 - the 4-iron is awesome! I may make a video just featuring that club haha. #2 - There's different definitions of what a "player's" iron is. 5-7 years ago I think it means something completely different to Billy's point. My 0211 PXG is definitely a game improvement iron, and the k-sigs are built with less bounce and a heavier shaft. I would call them more of a player's iron. I've heard plenty of people disagree and I wouldn't 'die on the sword' but I'd still call it a player's iron by today's standards.

I don’t play golf , usually rode the cart and had a Bloody Mary, but throughly enjoyed your video. Great work also by your photographer and caddy.👍❤️
We have a great team. Thanks Sherry!!
I am showing in Bandon in Feb with the Costco irons, wedges, driver, putter, and ball! Just need a Cost bag!
love it. i'm thinking of going all Costco. they should make a k-sig bag! Driver review video coming soon.

Elevate 115! So heavy for the “everyman”. Waaay to heavy for me but they felt great.

Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome!!!
Thanks!!
Definitely forged by Miura in Hyogo ⚔️ 🇯🇵! Costco threatened Miurasan with a hostile takeover if they didn’t play ball ⛳️!
Costco doesn't threaten, they just open their own manufacturing plant.
P770. Not 790.

If they answered honestly, I think those people are Costco lunatics and just want a good story to tell their buddies.
Game them!
I'm definitely going to play them some more. Great return policy haha. Driver review coming soon. Thanks for watching.
DON'T BUY FROM SCALPERS!
Have patience and get them when they restock. Do not feed the lowlifes. The heavier shaft will make them straighter.
Yeah... crazy on the markups i've seen. for some people, they want a story to tell so they'll pay anything!

lol! I respect that. I think it’s a great value, but I’m at the point where switching shafts is the only way these would work for me (most golfers).
