I used to have several, a Colombian Boa Constrictor, ball python, and Rainbow Boa. The Columbian was my favorite :). When I became pregnant I had to find them new homes.
This episode is such a contradiction like everything in America. The burmese pythons are destroying Florida's eco system but they try to make you feel bad that the weather is actually getting rid of them cuz is too cold. So ridiculous and stupid smfh

Tagged and released. for the first time in history here. I'm so happy there are here. those catches are on TH-cam. You have achieved great things for only 21. Please don't get hurt. Miller I don't know how to reach people like you do.the ugly things people said left me feeling hollow they were angry JB and I were not endanger the paddle was all I needed to back him off JB thought it was great I would never put my golden retriever endanger. but I put myself out there I think it's great the way without offending anyone you're opening people's eyes to get them to want to save the animals. The breeding facility that led to the population spike was destroyed in 1992 during Hurricane Andrew. These snakes have had 3 decades to adapt to Florida's climate. The individuals that were able to survive the cold snaps lived and bred until the majority of the population was equipped with said gene. This is a great example of microevolution. Hence, they are technically no longer 'Burmese Pythons', they have adapted to become Florida Pythons!!!
I just have a question, (because I dont know, as i live in Cold Canada...) why are the invasive pythons getting to be humanely euthanized, but i have seen other shows where they film the alligators in Florida getting shot in the head, or being shot with a bow. Isnt a bow in the head cruel?

Without a trained dog its mostly just another way to get a paycheck for little results
I agree I think dogs would be a great tool especially during the nesting season. It would allow them to catch more with eggs!

She is too big to be released just to be study. Think about the kids, turtle nests and the native species.
Odd choice of people to hunt snakes, seeing as they all breed pythons and other snakes. Seems to me like it would be a conflict of interests.
You are just wasting your time and money if you think you are going to rid Florida of Burmese pythons
