The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar (Q4148120) is encased in 40mm of stainless steel surrounding a silver dial on a stainless steel bracelet with folding buckle. Features of this Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar include hours, minutes, seconds, date, day, month and moon phase. I had chosen this to be my retirement watch and when I went to look at it in person, I was disappointed for several reasons; the dial was difficult to read, the watch was too thick and slabby, the dial color was a bit boring, the day/month was impossible to read, and finally the cost went way up when I initially considered it. I quickly moved on.

That is why I sold mine. I have an older model. Came only with alligator strap. Too chunky to be an elegant dress watch, but not at all sporty looking.

Me too. I was in a watch makers and he had one in the safe when I said it was my sought after watch. Instantly went off it in person. Bought an air king salmon dial instead.
I do own a reverso and it is a stunning watch

I think my next acquisition may be a JLC annual calendar. Seems like money better spent vs other high horological that offer the same complications.

That’s an annual calendar. It’s not a perpetual calendar. It displays day, date, and month.
And the day can be left out. Omega makes an “annual calendar” that is only month and date.

@@douglasmstewart An annual calendar does not need to be adjusted when a month has only thirty days, only in february. A perpetual calendar Never needs to be adjusted.
This here is a so called full calendar. It displays month, date and day (and moonphase) but needs to be adjusted at the end of every month that does not have 31 days.

Straight calendar watches are obsolete by now. be at least an "annual calendar"--which self-adjusts for months of different lengths--to be impressive. Nobody's going to want to reset this every other month.
