This is my favorite moment in hlvrai. Not just because it’s funny, but because it’s also kind of scary. In og Half Life, Gman is portrayed as this powerful unworldly deity. It took the combine a lot of power to have him contained, making it clear that it takes a ton in order to defy gman. So imagine how it must feel to have another entity that not only isn’t affected against Gman’s powers, but also shows no sign of a struggle. Gman should be terrified.

The likelihood of such an event occurring was so astronomical that the one cosmic entity became fearful and fled. All the while in the presence of a mortal being that somehow manged to retain its Sanity throughout the process. . . . Truly terrifying.

I say this so often but I just love the confusion and hint of fear in G-man's voice. He's confused and for a being of such immense power and knowledge not knowing something about a thing standing in front of you is a horrifying thought.

This is wonderful. I love the small details, like the smoother animation when GMan says Gordon's name, and the zoom in on Benry's goblin face when he starts talking. Not to mention Benry's name tag
Everything about this is so good, GMan being so genuinely creepy in the beginning just makes the tone shift complete perfection, and I can't think of any way to describe this Benrey other than Peak Benrey.
This is fucking incredible. The credentials/ID part killed me every time and seeing it come back in this moment is just chefs kiss. OH NOT TO MENTION how BEAUTIFULLY realized this lil animation is. God

Alright, this is the best interpretation of this scene IMO and I love it. The gesturing, the way you made the location different from the actual clip, the way Benry looks exactly how he acts.. *Chefs kiss* Couldn't be done better!

I'd like to imagine this was the Junior G-Man from the unfinished expansion Hostile Takeover, and his employers never debriefed him that one of the security guards at Black Mesa was an omnipresent being of divine light.
The expressions on this so perfectly compliment this scene. I love all the subtle touches, like Benry's hand on his face when he says "okay but I went to see them though". So funny, fantastic vid, kills me every time haha.
I love that you made Gordon forget about the fear and uneasiness the G-man holds, and they just both act like buddies who don't know what the hell is going on. I'd act like that if a "valuable employee" decided to move during a time-stop, too.
fun fact: the helicopter heap from act 3 was deployed by G-Man to contain Benrey, which the cast decided would be canon because Benrey somehow got sucked into it because G-Mod
You can't convince me that benrey didn't do this to save Gordon the time of listen bullcrap or alternatively he didn't do it so then Gordon wouldn't known he was the final boss.
