Well 100 yen = $1.00Aud roughly. One of their meals was 480 yen so that's roughly 5-6$ so it's really cheap. I wish they had these places in Australia too but food is expensive here. Those Bento boxes would sell for well over 10$ here.

I've never been to Japan, so I'm curious as I watch these bento takeaway videos, do folks just eat them at room temperature or is the idea to reheat them? What's the intent? Only curious. They all look amazing and I'd have a hard time choosing lol
The containers appear to be ordinary plastic- so they are to be eaten at room temperature. And if they are to be school meals, there should not be enough microwave ovens to reheat them all. But they do taste really good just the same.
The food is amazing, but the plastic waste they go through on a daily basis is really worrying :( Would be smarter to serve directly into metal containers the customers bring

大鶴（だいかく）は手作りなのでとても安心感があります
通常のお弁当屋さんだとエビフライなどは業務用のエビフライがそのまま入ってることが多いですが、こちらは手作りなのです
また、食材や調味料もしっかりした銘柄のものを使用しており、手間が掛かってますけどその分美味しいです
