@@stanleed.harold5457 Make no mistake, Messi came to the USA way past his prime and only after having already achieved everything he wanted in his career. Coming to the USA for him and other players was just an easy paycheck before retirement. Managers are different, they don't have an age limitation and Klopp is far from the end of his career.

As much as I hate Porto because I am a Benfica fan. Porto has won the league when Porto has given him some of the bare minimum and benefitted from Benfica and Sporting's misfortunes. Conceição is ready for his next step if he wants to take it. Personally, he should take the Portugal job imo. I am not a fan of Martinez.
As an Argentine I can only tell you one thing, the United States not only needs a good coach, but one who knows how to make the team play and function, in addition to having a game identity, he explained to me; The identity of a game refers to how tactics are used and their approach. This helps players attack, defend or counterattack and know how to coordinate, although I also see a problem...The United States does not have a style of play. Of course, neither is identity, and that complicates things, since you have to know the national style of play to implement or modify it in the national team, something like what Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France, England and more, USA have done. It has none of that, and well, that would be all, I wish you the best and I hope that one day we will face each other, American friends. 🇦🇷❤️🇺🇸 Good luck with your change!
Well yea, we seriously need almost anyone but the current manager, cause berhalter is a moron, he’s got no clue what he’s doing. This is the same guy who got sacked from a Swedish club because he “wasn’t attacking enough” lmao. I honestly think berhalter thinks our players are better than they are and it’s just not the case. This causes us to try to play pretty, aesthetically pleasing soccer, and when it doesn’t work there’s no backup plan. We need to understand that we can’t play pretty to win, it’s gonna have to be an ugly style, but that’s how we can win and how we have won in the past. In all I think you’re analysis was spot on!
I've been saying this for 30 years!! You are spot on!... but in the US it, also, does NOT have a Soccer culture, and that hurts the national team as well. The other thing the US administrative body does is try to incorporate politics into soccer and that, too, hurts the team immensely ... it's so difficult to watch the national team in the USA as they are soooo freaking clueless...
Herve Renard seems like the Bora Milutinovic, a great national team coach who led us the last time we hosted a world cup, for this generation. And with those abs he can body shame Weston McKennie into finally getting into proper football shape. Also, I'd take Wilfried Nancy in a heartbeat. I guess I like French coaches too.
If BJ Callahan has success with Nashville, I will never forgive US Soccer. He gave us the most creative, inspired, and dominant US side I've ever seen in just a handful of games, and they immediately brought back the soccer terrorist
They should go for Klopp, then if he's out of reach (Which is likely) go down the list and get a proven coach with European/South American experience. (Hervé Renard, Niko Kovač, David Moyes, Sérgio Conceição, Mattarazo, etc.)

Small point of contention: Hervé Renard's name is pronounced "AIR-vay ruh-NARR". Alternatively, you could translate his name to English - Harvey Fox. Edit: I'm a HUGE fan of Wilfrid Nancy. The problem is, our board listens to a small, extremely vocal clique of supporters who aren't interested in any managers who aren't Irish Catholic or Catholic Scottish of Irish descent. Never mind that Jock Stein was a Protestant and Ange Postecoglou is an Australian Greek immigrant and practicing Orthodox Christian. I view Nancy and Renard as the most likely on this list. Slight edge to Nancy, given that he's known to American fans and is already comfortable with American supporter culture.
I think they are just going to drag it out as much as they can. Any other country would’ve fired him the same night of the Uruguay game. I feel like nothing will be announced for a while. I feel like they won’t fire Gregg.
As a Salvadorian, it was so refreshing to see what Hugo Perez did to the national team back in 2021, specifically for the Gold Cup tourney. For the first time in decades, El Salvador actually looked like a team that can compete against the CONCACAF giants of USA and Mexico. Now while that may not sound impressive to the majority, for El Salvador, it was huge because they have literally been HORRIBLE for decades and could only win against some small island counties. It was unfortunate that the talant pool was so limited so his fixtures got very inconsistent as time went on. But he probably deserves another shot.
We need to hire the French 007 because a) he is Tact's man crush and b) having a head coach who looks better without his shirt on than some of the players do may inspire them to get in shape.
I don't think any national team coach can "toughen up" a team or develop player skills. They simply do not have enough time with the players. All national team managers are part time employees. You need have a tactical approach that can take advantage of your teams strengths, and be able to communicate that clearly. You also have to motivate professionals who have been playing long seasons with high pressure clubs. Clear communication skills, simple and flexible tactics, and infectious passion
Klopp coming to the US would be like a top NBA coach going to a league in Europe. Top coaches want to stay where the competition is. It’s not even about the money.
Offer Klopp $50 million and he would take the bait, hook, line and sinker! But the US would still not win the World Cup…You guys live in a world of make believe soccer supremacy!! For the umpteenth time concentrate on your domestic soccer league. That is where the problem lies….The MLS has a systemic flaw. No pro/rel. This will condemned you mediocrity ad infinitum. CHANGE IT FFS!
We need a seasoned coach from Europe, young players with confidence & character, consider players not from mls, and add 1 chance for an off the street players -have tryouts
As a South American, my opinion is as follows: Any country that respects itself in any sport, not just football, should fire Berhalter. The expectations for this team were very high to just throw it all away. It's true that I feel the team is not a disaster; they played well against Bolivia and Uruguay and showed good performance, and against Panama, they simply had bad luck. In fact, I think Weah should be sanctioned in some way, at least kept away from the national team for a year, but that's another issue. In life, what matters is winning. Look at Canada-they made it to the semifinals with a much tougher group than the USA and beat the best Venezuela in their history. To clarify, Venezuela is a South American country that has been playing football for many years; Canada discovered football five years ago and already made it to a semifinal in a top Copa America. So this makes the USA's performance even worse; it's a failure, and Berhalter should be fired. Now, for the options, by far the best coach they can hire is Marcelo Gallardo, and secondly, the Frenchman Hervé Renard. I know Gallardo very well; I could talk for an hour about this coach, but to keep it short, there are three points. First, the money: this coach demands a lot. At River, he was the highest-paid in the entire continent at the club level, and even so, he left River to go to Arabia for more money. It didn't work out for various reasons, and now he's free. Before going to Arabia, the Argentine national team and several top European clubs wanted him, so he must be asking for ten times more than Berhalter. But the USA is a wealthy country, and if they want a serious project, that's the option-no doubt about it. Second point: if he is interested. If there is money, he will accept, but if they don't have the money he wants, I don't know how convinced he will be. As I said, before going to Arabia, he was a top world coach. Third point: the language. He doesn't speak fluent English; he knows some as he is a young coach and can learn more in a few months, so it wouldn't be a big problem. If I were the USA federation, I would be calling his agent for a meeting right now, and if possible, I would talk to Joe Biden or whoever is in charge to get the money, explaining the importance of the 2026 World Cup, and I'm sure they would agree.
Haha. Speak to Joe Biden? So you expect the tax payer to finance the development of US soccer? Why? I suspect you just wish to give a bit more credibility to the US belief in it’s all conquering supremacy, militarily and sporting wise! Grow up bud, you pathetic little wimp!!
While it’s fun to talk about the big names, the hire will be someone like Steve Cherundolo realistically. It fits the theme of guys we hire and won’t break the bank.
Bruh,So wait.Klopp will leaving Europe.Where it has elite leagues and teams to come to the retirement league to coach an mls franchise or the mediocre USMNT.That's delulu thinking.
I like the way you're selling Wilfried Nancy. I haven't seen much MLS but I did see a little of the Columbus Crew last year and they were very fun to watch. I hope he can make his style a little more pragmatic and adaptable to national team play.
Fabian Hurzeler...American born German coach who's gotten the most out of every team he's coached. Unfortunately he just made a huge move from St. Pauli over to Brighton in the EPL. He's 31 and the type of innovative leader we need. We'll see if he can keep it going at Brighton.
I would love for a coach that is disciplined and organized. When there is a talent gap, an organized team can play above its weight and we need that for the WC. I love the first two picks. Realistic and helpful.
People are forgetting that Pellegrino Matarazzo was offered the job before they rehired Berhalter and he said no as his desire was to coach at club level. Also it is said that Tab Ramos (could only go as far as the U-20s) Hugo Perez and Jurgen Klinsmann are all blacklisted from coaching the senior national team (for Klinsmann this obviously happened after his tenure) due to them being very vocal about the federation’s mishandling of team and their lack of ambition to help the sport grow in the country. Allegedly candidates up for consideration must know English and must be aware of how the U.S. national team setup works.
If US soccer was smart they would hire a Klopp or Renard insert an American assistant coach they think can take over after the cycle. We get a top coach plus the possibility of continuity afterwards.
The USSF is so dumb though. In 2016 they had the chance to hire Bielsa- he said he was interested in the job and wanted Landon Donavan as his asst coach. The USSF didn’t even consider him
He’s my top choice, I really hope they go all out to get him. His son plays in the US now for Atlanta United 2, so I don’t think it would be impossible
You tell the truth Dear Fillipo but Klopp does not come to Our Beautiful USA he can be coach of Germany I think today Germany is eliminated by Spain in quarter final too.
Money it's not a problem for Klopp. The guy is loaded. But he won't coach this mediocre and overrated USMNT.Cuz he's not wasting his coaching skills on a trash team like USMNT.
The thing is I don’t think Klopp wants to accept the offer. Why would he want to coach in one of the weakest confederations in the world? Maybe if CONCACAF and CONMEBOL merge, he may accept the offer
We might as well reach out to Klopp to see if we would be interested. It’s worth trying. I would love to get Renard or Matarazzo but Nancy would be interesting. Just need to get rid of the terrorists of US soccer in Betty Crocker and GGG
If klopp can't do it then every USAer needs to give up on soccer completely. Also, the idea that they think they have klopp in the bag shows that they really believe in their "golden gerneation" lmao despite all the evidence against it.
I wouldn’t say Wilfried Nancy has a better resume than Bruce Arenas or Bob Bradley yet, but do think he’s obviously going to eclipse their resumes if he keeps up what he’s shown 19:19
Which one of these coaches has the best final 3rd tactics? I think that should definitely be a weighted characteristic we should be looking for. Who can unlock creativity in our existing player pool? This is the 2nd quality. Thirdly, which coach can unleash our talent and skill as Americans to play above our weight class knocking out the bigs of world soccer: Brazil, Spain, France, Argentina, Germany.
Would love to see a video of how Wilfried Nancy's tactics might apply to our current squad. But regarding top 10 managers, I don't think we should discount the appeal of living in the US has to someone like Klopp. Ancelotti is spending his summer in Montana. Obviously we've attracted a ton of great European players to end their career. So why not try to go for the men's equivalent of Emma Hayes?
Fox Sports reports that we'll get an Answer about Belhalter's Status next week. Also I'd like Pevard or Gallardo (Eveb though I want him at Atlanta United). Wild Card would be Thomas Tuchel.
tac, do you think if a decision is made very rapidly that they should get the reigns for the olympic team? or atleast be in the mix with the current head coach or is this B team too far along to have someone come in
I predicted that this guy would end up looking like a jilted bride at the altar, except this bride was out of her mind and set up an entire wedding expecting Timothée Chalamet to show up when the dude did not even know she existed. Talk about being delusional and irresponsible in your approach. You'd expect more coming from a channel with almost 50,000 followers, but he just kept on insisting with the Klopp nonsense when everyone knew that was never going to happen. Hope the lesson was properly learned, that being: STAY IN YOUR LANE!
@@TacticalManager So, you must have a brainless identical twin brother who has been advocating and begging for the hiring of Klopp all over social media, even telling U.S. Soccer on X, like a spoiled child, to continue with a relentless, meaningless and embarrassing pursuit of the man who said he wants nothing to do with your loser program.
You might want Klopp or someone of his calibre, but the US simply won’t even look at getting someone like that purely because of money. Whatever you would have to pay them you’d also have to pay the womens coach. Someone like Moyes or Rogers would be a good shout and they wouldn’t completely blow the budget. They’d be a huge improvement on what you’ve currently got and there’d be no language problems.
I mean there was only one perfect candidate for that job but apparently not for the US soccer federation so he is out there singing oCanada and just dragged them to semi finals of copa America. I think one underrated candidate is David Wagner. Played for USMNT, decent management experience in Europe, managed to keep Huddlesfield in the prem. Only downside is his recent track record is underwhelming but maybe he can turn his career around with national team idk
Not gonna happen cause the USSF has corporate equal pay mandates now that require us to pay our women’s coach the same amount as the men’s. Women’s coach & GGG both currently make $1.6 mil a year. Can’t hire any of the big names unless we also plan on giving Emma Hayes a massive raise…
Gus Hiddink is the perfect manager! he ticks every single box world cup experience great style of play advanced host countries to knockouts and the list goes on
If Klopp wants a beach house in Miami and a tractor give him it. Don’t know why he would want a tractor in Miami but just give it
Tractor life is the way to go!
USSF should approach him with a blank check; to write his amount. Also, he should state his conditions as well.
Shit if Klopp wants Atlantic or pacific beachfront property in Colorado give it to him somehow damnit lol
US FT need to give him whatever he wants, no questions asked to get him to be a coach for them

Not only Greg the staff, Crocker , the federation themselves and the players too except Reina and Billigon.
Who is billygong?
@@ninjalectualx misspellt favorite players.
I would love for a coach that is disciplined and organized. When there is a talent gap, an organized team can play above its weight and we need that for the WC. I love the first two picks. Realistic and helpful.
Explain to us soccer dopes how a team with 14 MLS guys whom everyone loves to rip on all day and night just made the Semis of the Copa. I will wait.
The USSF didn’t even consider him
Gregg found this team! You can not say that his first term is a failure
Gallardo would be nuts. I´d love to see him in the USMNT. IDK if he speaks english but he had a good run in France, so... maybe he is poliglot
He’s my top choice, I really hope they go all out to get him. His son plays in the US now for Atlanta United 2, so I don’t think it would be impossible
Renard is a master of getting teams to punch above their weight. Zambia, Cote D'Ivoire sans Drogba and Saudi Arabia.
According to football manager, Gallardo speaks good English
I heard his son also plays in the US so I bet he speaks some English
You tell the truth Dear Fillipo but Klopp does not come to Our Beautiful USA he can be coach of Germany I think today Germany is eliminated by Spain in quarter final too.
Yes,you are the new coach and Gregg is FIRED!!!!
Cherundelo and Moyes have to be options too
Kloop blamed losing cause epl pitches are “too dry”
Can you imagine his reaction to having to play in Central America?!?!?!?!
Guardiola is realistic. Why else would he move to NY to learn English after resigning from Barça.
Whenever tac drops, the clouds open up and the sun shines all over us👏
Klopp just confirmed he would reject taking the job🤣🤣🤣🤣
We’d have to pay a LOT of money and the USSF ain’t gonna cough up 😂😂😂
Thomas Christiansen would be an upgrade
Yes, knows how to get the most out of his team!
Nico Kovacs, ex-Manager Croatia, Frankfurt, Munich, Wolfsburg, Monaco….and he is free 😊
Great vid man! Good research on the options. Let’s keep dreaming for Klopp lol
“and not being an idiot is also a requirement” 😅
Good choices Filipo 👍
Klopp should be realistic.
If the USSF really wanted to, they could make it happen financially.
Klopp would say yes.
Money it's not a problem for Klopp. The guy is loaded. But he won't coach this mediocre and overrated USMNT.Cuz he's not wasting his coaching skills on a trash team like USMNT.
@@marktheshark7588 I disagree. I think money is the real factor
@@Warum.2439 Well if it is, then he would move to Saudi were the salary would be much more than whatever the US would be willing to pay.

Mexico and Miami are proving Tata was not the problem with Mexicos downfall. Tata has lobbied for the US job. I’d take Tata in a heartbeat.
@@MBowermaster he'll throw the game against Argentina like he did with Mexico
@@eduardodiazzarate9502 You know nothing about football.
The thing is I don’t think Klopp wants to accept the offer. Why would he want to coach in one of the weakest confederations in the world? Maybe if CONCACAF and CONMEBOL merge, he may accept the offer
Maybe if somebody can make America great again he’d want to be here, otherwise it’s malaise
We might as well reach out to Klopp to see if we would be interested. It’s worth trying. I would love to get Renard or Matarazzo but Nancy would be interesting. Just need to get rid of the terrorists of US soccer in Betty Crocker and GGG
Tac I love this list and I think these names are very realistic. Please make a follow up list soon!
If klopp can't do it then every USAer needs to give up on soccer completely. Also, the idea that they think they have klopp in the bag shows that they really believe in their "golden gerneation" lmao despite all the evidence against it.
Bro klopp ain’t joining yall he’s taking a long break from coaching if yall paid attention to fabrizo😂
I wouldn’t say Wilfried Nancy has a better resume than Bruce Arenas or Bob Bradley yet, but do think he’s obviously going to eclipse their resumes if he keeps up what he’s shown 19:19
Wait is Bruce Arenas retired now or what? Why aren't people talking about him taking up the reigns as coach
@@xelaander8429He’s a free agent right now, looking to get back into coaching after a short break. I’m sure some MLS team will give him a look soon.
5:59 Mexico was tough because that loss cost them to get eliminated
Which one of these coaches has the best final 3rd tactics? I think that should definitely be a weighted characteristic we should be looking for. Who can unlock creativity in our existing player pool? This is the 2nd quality. Thirdly, which coach can unleash our talent and skill as Americans to play above our weight class knocking out the bigs of world soccer: Brazil, Spain, France, Argentina, Germany.
Pulisic said he doesn't like taking set pieces, it wasn't his choice. which means some idiot coach made the call
When did he say that?
Where?
I wonder if he noticed his set pieces weren’t that good. Lol
I’m not sure why Reyna isn’t taking them.
I heard that too. It was a broadcast of one of his matches but I can't remember if it was Milan or the USMNT
So why wasn't USSF looking for an elite coach 18 months ago? Those doing the search need to be fired.
Nancy looks like the twin brother of Düsseldorf coach Daniel Thioune.
Fox Sports reports that we'll get an Answer about Belhalter's Status next week. Also I'd like Pevard or Gallardo (Eveb though I want him at Atlanta United). Wild Card would be Thomas Tuchel.
Klopp to Die Mannschaft
Yes, to Team USA!
tac, do you think if a decision is made very rapidly that they should get the reigns for the olympic team? or atleast be in the mix with the current head coach or is this B team too far along to have someone come in
Before this video started I honestly thought of Herve Renard.
Hugo Perez or Steve cherundelo
Klopp would be amazing I’ll still want Renard
I predicted that this guy would end up looking like a jilted bride at the altar, except this bride was out of her mind and set up an entire wedding expecting Timothée Chalamet to show up when the dude did not even know she existed.
Talk about being delusional and irresponsible in your approach. You'd expect more coming from a channel with almost 50,000 followers, but he just kept on insisting with the Klopp nonsense when everyone knew that was never going to happen.
Hope the lesson was properly learned, that being: STAY IN YOUR LANE!
Hey muppet, in the first minute of the video I said Klopp ain’t coming.
Before the news even came out. You ok?
Klopp is obviously target number one.
My most realistic preferences: Herve Renard, Pellegrino Matarazzo, or Petar Segrt
Great video tac
I mean there was only one perfect candidate for that job but apparently not for the US soccer federation so he is out there singing oCanada and just dragged them to semi finals of copa America.
I think one underrated candidate is David Wagner. Played for USMNT, decent management experience in Europe, managed to keep Huddlesfield in the prem. Only downside is his recent track record is underwhelming but maybe he can turn his career around with national team idk
Still think we should approach Klopp and Pochettino. Couldn't hurt.
@@silviobrolusconi2890 Doesn't mean we can't at least talk to them.
I'm very disappointed that you didn't at least talk about Jurgen Klopp even if you don't think it's realistic. I'm on that copium.
Canada got to the Semifinals 😂🔫
Diniz... The answer is Diniz..
A sane coaching list. US Soccer media could never.
Gus Hiddink is the perfect manager!
he ticks every single box
world cup experience
great style of play
advanced host countries to knockouts
