this is minecraft manhunt but i can upgrade myself. everytime i killed my hunters aka baablu and fantst, i got a skill point which allowed me to upgrade skills that made me op and let me get op loot. This is a minecraft manhunt speedrunner vs hunter not a minecraft but challenge or a minecraft smp video. this is a minecraft manhunt challenge inspired by creators like boosfer, kier and dev, yellowool, baablu, fantst, dream, and more.

I love how this version of Upgrade Yourself involves hunter deaths, unlike Kier & Dev's version that consisted in XP levels.
There should be a showdown between the 2 versions of the twist!

If you do a rematch of this ever you could add regen, fire res, saturation, etc. Tho I'd say make ones that are more op cost more.

OOOO costs would be interesting. Making saturation require like 15 points, and each STR upgrade requires more and more, and fire costs like 5 since you only need to buy it once
Make the really op ones, like Regen and maybe Strength cost 2 kills, and only be available to you, but the normal ones cost either 10 levels of xp or 1 kill and can be accessible to the hunters? Code it so they can't farm each other tho, lol

Man would have minigunned them with axe hits, but at the end he never leveled up it
Not only can haste insta mine deepslate allowing for easy full diamond, it also practically removes attack cooldown
Maybe Bubbo decided not choose haste himself, giving some handicap for his hunters.
IMO twist should've been changed so that with every kill you get a random stat or 2 on on choice, so it wouldn't be that easy to get that str 5 or whatever at the end
yeah, randomly getting those buffs per kill would've made more sense
imagine shortening strength to str, but good idea lol

I kind of figured that this would spiral when Strength was an option. I might have at least made each upgrade cast 1 point more than the next (starts at 1 point to get Strength 1, then 2 points to get Strength 2, and so on). That way it is a bit harder to spec totally into 1 branch and it stays balanced for a bit longer. Rather than every kill making it easier to get the next kill (which is a downwards spiral), you have to work harder for each upgrade, and thus your kills give you relatively diminishing returns if you try to stack Strength, which is almost always optimal for a manhunt and hard to avoid doing.
At first i thought didnt kierr and dev do this? This was a great idea, keeping the same concept but still keeping it original! Nice work 😁
Y do people never learn how to add true at the end of the command so there is no position particles. Even if u don’t own the plug-in you can edit it and just add true. It’s so easy please do it from now on.

Different types of food give different effects for you.
A Raw Chicken may give you Haste, or a cooked Porkchop may give you Strength...
But, since everyone forgets this food is a thing...
Dried Kelp
Should be absolutely OP.
I'm thinking, like...
You can eat it without being hungry (like Rotten Flesh), and it gives Golden Apple effects.
And Dried Kelp can be chugged. It's eating time is faster than any other food.
If anything, just that. Everyone forgets about Dried Kelp and you need to stack up on food before the End half the time anyway
Btw, Bubbo, if you do this again, you can add a "true" to the end of the command, so it hides the particle effects. So, instead of "/effect give minecraft:strength " put "/effect give minecraft:strength true"
This should be an SMP imo, but add a health category, and it'll be perfect. I'd play that personally.

I got an idea: Minecraft Manhunt but nametags are OP, for example naming a mob after one of the hunters makes it into a voodoo doll for said hunter and any damage that mob takes goes to the hunter as well (ignoring armor/resistance), you could also name a hostile mob "ally" and they'll become friendly to you and start chasing the hunters (for extra cheapness make it so the allied mobs respawn each time they die), or naming a mob after a certain item will convert the mob into a stack of said item, etc.
also for simplicity's sake make it so you can shift right click with a nametag to rename it on the spot, and make it so the nametag isn't used up so that way you only need to find a single nametag
Idea: do this but you get an upgrade point for every achievement and the title can be gain enhancements for advancements

(you can have a secret way to get redstone faster then mining like crafting something)

haste makes your axe/sword swing recharge faster! so with enough haste you get basically 1.8 pvp

One thing real quick that is kind of irrelevant, can we talk how many times in the intro fight the glitch of catching fire at the perfect part of a tick instantly gets rid of the fire. He never took any fire damage because of how many times he got lucky with that. God tier luck for being naked

I wonder if you can bring out guns to manhunt,like vulcan minigun fighting against a tank(flans mod have those things and you can whip them out with your plugin custom recipees or your plugin find in chests)

Idea (although this may work better for Boosfer, Kier or Dev)
Minecraft Manhunt but you can only use items that have the colors on your skin. This would be a twist that all of players would do.
For example, if we used everyone’s basic skin… Kier could use only red and black items, Dev could use blue and black items. Boosfer could use white and green objects while Bubbo…um… well what ever colors he has!
The best strategy would probably to use a skin with every color in the game.
And no shading doesn’t matter, as Boosfer could still use dark green as it’s still considered green.
Custom items may or may not be allowed for this one.
For example, emerald and redstone tools.
This might be a better twist for one of the others…
Back from vacation. Great video bubbo!!! You should do minecraft Manhunt but you can sell items. Basically you can sell items to villagers and buy op loot from them with the money you got from selling the loot.
also bubbo i respect not putting resistance on the upgrade list, because res 5 makes u immortal

have this but it cost 10 exp levels, but theres an upgrade that allows you to get more xp, so its more strategy based where you pick between getting more xp early or survivability early to get exp later

Just thought of the best Hunter strategy: get to the portal first (any end portal will do) and drop dripstone stalagtites into it from as high as you can (20+ blocks) then you win. As long as nobody enters the end before the speed runner, they win automatically because as soon as anyone enters the end, the dripstone will load in on top of them and instantly kill them

@Bubbo can you do a manhunt with coral as the twist I don’t care if it is something that gives op loot or if it gives powers.
I'd like to see Minecraft Manhunt but you can edit your player (like changing attack damage, changing your size so you can be taller than dev, maybe even making yourself half enderman)

@Bubbo this video is a Somewhat sponsor thing, of the Kier and Dev video. Dev was able to upgrade himself. So this video is confirmed to be a 2nd piece of the others. Meaning bubbo was interested on doing it too.
Offense, Defense, Movement, Magic, & Immunity Upgrades. Offense improves damage (Bows, Fists, Swords, etc). Defense improves armor (1 Armor Point per kill without armor on). Movement improves agility (Jump Height, Speed, Swimming, etc). Magic grants abilities (Fire, Ice, Weather, etc). Immunity improves…well, your immunity (Fire, Fall, Wither, etc).
I have a twist idea: Making dyes that are the colour of your hunters kills them when you hit them
I always wanted to see this kind of twist. You need to make a rematch later

Manhunt but you can change your hunters settings like key bindings, audio, brightness, etc. And they can't change it back. Not sure if this would be possible but it would definitely be hilarious to watch Yello freak out over his left strafe key to be the letter j and right strafe key to be the number 8

Strength is so incredibly overpowered.
Honestly something like upgrade yourself should use custom strength increments that are smaller than vanilla strength cause +4 damage every level is just too much.
I just realised a loophole, u get a bunch of kills and u use those points for really good strength and u just mega farm kills and u get ultra op

If you add "true" to the end of the command when you make plug in, then there won't be any particles.
We thought about it, but bubbo and I decided to show the particles so that the hunters can guess what's happening.
You will probably never see this but could you do a video were you troll your hunters. Every time the hunters jump they get jump boost +1 every time they jump
