I know people have differing opinions about how history was interpreted in this DLC but honestly the way they portray him like this makes Jack even more terrifying. Trained by the creed, able to kill easily, a twisted psyche, the pursuit of revenge and the creed covering it all up.
That's why the Assassins aren't a good role for the innocents, same as the Templars.
Both are not perfect, but not a role model.

Wow I just realised... Jack the Ripper in this game is basically just Scarecrow from the Bat-Man series
But with assassin training
Except that scarecrow from Batman doesn’t kill his victims instead he drive his victims to madness and/or sicken them with so much fears that they either killed themselves by way of either self harm or suicide or dying of a heart attack basically they doesn’t really kill his victims himself and killing his victims aren’t really his goals in fact he have no overarching long term goals usually he just enjoy giving people long lasting psychological trauma pstd basically the only scarecrow I know of who even have any sort of long term goals at all is the one from Arkham knight and even his goals was simply to destroy any and all hopes from the world so basically determined to destroy any and all symbols of hopes and that scarecrow only developed that goals after Batman failed to save scarecrow from being eaten by croc forcing him to save himself. So Jack the Ripper is focusing on being fearsome brutal killers yet obviously he is no scarecrow from Batman series since scarecrow enjoy giving people pstd not kill them.

This game expands combat challenge and power level beyond the main game. The pistol is likely the Mars, which is just stupendously strong and is the most powerful firearm in the main game. Combat in the DLC is unforgiving, when an enemy successfully blocks one of your attacks before you forgot to stun, your attack not only fails but the enemy immediately retaliates without breaking their defensive stance. And always hits in this situation.

Nah, Jacob found Jack in Lambeth Asylum when he was little (though there could be evidence to suggest they knew each other even before that). This has to be the case because it's kind of implied Jack was a little unhinged even before they met thanks to the abuse inflicted upon Jack when he was locked up there after his mother was brutally murdered by Starrick's men. He was taken to India with several other recruits (though it feels like he was a favourite of Jacob's) to go see Evie and Henry in India presumably for training (India is where the fear tactics came from).

I'd like Jack's suit to be available for the game.
They’re ok on Jack, but the fear mechanics were just stupid on Evie. They have no place being used by assassins that value efficiency and stealth. They cause a commotion and don’t even kill. And they still have the gall to give you stealth kill missions when all your mechanics are against it.

The one thing I don’t miss about Syndicate is the hack and slash nature of the game

This gameplay makes me question how durable the people of london are. For some reason, Jack has to put 50 stab wounds into someone before they at the very least fall over while some other people just take a simple pike to the stomach to die
In a fight, with the adrenaline pumping, you could be stabbed 50 times and still not go down until 5 minutes later.

I’ve watched body cam footage of criminals being shot a couple dozen times before dropping, and so on. Adrenaline is not to be underestimated. Also, Jack holds them up while he stabs them; they may well be dead already.

One thing i didn't like about Syndicate, is that the blood details. Unlike Unity, after stabbing a templar, you can see that not only the blood splatters, but they're actually bleeding through their cloths.
I loved how brutally he killed those Karens.
Ya know I found it trippy that we get to play the ripper himself. But upset that we play a pacifist assassin other than jack, but playing as jack, my goodness he goes to town on them! Especially with one guy he stabs him like a billion times, like Justin Bieber in that one movie where the motorcycle assassin shot god knows how many bullets into him

I saw that there was a cancelled Batman: Gotham by Gaslight game (Batman but in the same timeframe as this game.) if the game used these same mechanics but tweaked just a bit with the free flow combat and other elements from the Arkham games, I think it would’ve been a pretty cool experience.

Actually very recently jack the ripper's identity was finally revealed, he was a barber and also a prime suspect but he was cleared for some reason
Aaron Kosminski was a polish barber and suspect that was found out after his death. Yeah he wasn't some trained assassin but that just makes the fact that he killed several people brutally in a crowded city with nothing but a knife and a scary amount of knowledge on human anatomy even more terrifying.

@@mohamedkadhim9660 This is a bit late, but anyway, if you really like Isu lore then you definetly should you'll get to see lot of it and the game gives really interesting perspective with it's protagonist, and I've heard there is something about reformation of order of the ancients into Templars but I'm not sure about details I did not play it, yet.

By cool, I mean it's unusual and something new in the series. Of course, I am not saying that Jack was cool, because he wasn't, he was a freaking monster, but the gameplay itself was something new, and in my opinion, it had its interesting moments.

He stopped being that failed comic relief, and actually became a serious assassin, and character development is nice. He became wiser, less aggressive, and more of a... thinker I suppose.
It would be nice to see how exactly he changed, and how he deals business now, but... we get what we get.

Pretty early in the dlc, it actually turns out he was a kid that Evie and Jacob found in an orphanage or something like that. Anyway Jacob then takes him on and turns into he’s mentor bringing jack into the assassins brotherhood. Then I don’t remember exactly how but Jacob some how connects the dots that this kid “jack the lad” is Jack the Ripper and you see a photo of them together when jack was a kid. Soooo a face reveal at the end would of actually kinda made sense plus you can already imagine how messed up he’s face may have looked could have been cool visually
